  2. whats the full athena kit worth ? you could buy a serval kit, if you want it for the trails, the serval is 396cc or 421cc depending on bore size and if you go stroker, or 392cc if you stay stock stroke. theres alot more support for the serval kit and room to improve if you want to port it later. stock carbs will also work well, as the small carb will give you some more grunt down low. i dont know what the quality is like from athena, i think one of the sponsors does athena stuff as well. ill try remember who it was

  5. just wait it out, till you get cash, you can find some t5's as low as 100-150$ theyll just need some paint. something will come up. just make ning ning noises in ya head.
  6. i know of the shop, but dont know much about them. its weird not to have any tell tale marks, when you go to rebuild, id deff get the crank checked out tho, trued and welded. with the overheating, have you checked the water pump impeller, radiator maybe blocked ?. running rich can cause overheating. does sound like youre rich, id play with jetting a bit. warm the bike up on old plugs and go for a bit of a thrash on new plugs, with out being off the throttle much. pull over and check out the plugs. they shouldnt get too dark straight away, a nice tan to lightish choc brown is good. when i was running 280 mains 25 pilots with t5's, the airbox lid was on, but the box had 12 1" holes in it, running pods or without lid would prolly jet close to around 310ish. my ported 350 ran 330's with t5's and that was jetted pretty dam perfect. was piston to bore clearance checked out ?

  9. i think it would look a bit tacky on banshee pipes. JHC is nice if you have lot of polished aluminum and a contrasting colour. but on a banshee it could look out if place. i dunno, id have to see it. JHC doesnt clean up as good as chrome too. so over time, JHC gets patchy.

  11. i bought one a few years ago, with handle bar mount on ebay. its a garmin map 76csx. i cant remember how much it was but its awesome, colour backlit screen, waterproof and floats in water, records tracks with data and does everything. i use it in my car as well to find places . ive crashed a few times and the only damage has been broken bar mounts. so just replace the mount and do it all over again. i tried one of the cheaper garmins and it was pretty shit.
  12. what do the plugs look like, do they look the same as each other ? are you running stock ignition timing ? and theres no marks on the bore ? my 350 dune port, with t5's ran 330 main and 25 pilot in stock carbs. stock 350 with t5's was 280main. the 421 serval ran 340 main in stock carbs but was a bit rich.
  13. how much are the 4 packs ? when i buy em they and only in ones and cost around 3-5$ea. youre going to have to buy heaps of jets and go play. or just not ride at all. i started at 350mains, thinking i should be close but i ended up around 270. with 50 pilots and 389 q0 dump tube. thats with the 34tm's on the 421 serval with shearers.

  16. you get more velocity with smaller carbs. the tm's carbs just use a smaller main jet, they must get a stronger signal through carb design. pwk's dont go smaller on the main when the carb is bigger. a bigger motor will suck more fuel too. sorry i cant help with 32mm jetting ive only ran the 34tm's. but they do run a way lean main. my serval with shearers n 34's TM's ran 270main 50 pilot, then ported serval, 290-300 main. stock carbs on the non ported serval setup was 340mains.
