short rod long rod, have the same stroke, but the pin height has been moved in the piston, short rod is 5 mm shorter but the piston pin is also 5 mm lower. so the piston is going to be in the same place as long rod, just pivot lower into the piston. just go long rod setup.

checked pickup gap and pickup/stator resistance ? do you know what stator youre running ?

i wouldnt be leaning it any more. that temp with open air box, i would have started richer. how does it start ? from cold ? does the k&n have its own adapter to bolt to the stock airbox inlet ?

i think youre gonna be pretty close. are you running an open air box ? what temps and elevation ?

how long you been running around on that plug ?

what size bore are driveline cylinders ? if its a brand spankin new build with very little run time. its gonna read a bit low till it breaks in.

chrome sucks, is hit and miss, more miss than hit. set i had, needed to be replaced, but the second set was good. needed some spacers on the hangers. was all good tho. cpi or sniper would be a good pick, depending on your setup. shearers if you can get for a good price and only really plan on mostly riding wot, fast tracks and stuff.

foam filter will filter more but not flow as much as a kn and clog up pretty fast in real dusty environments. if you get foam filters get a few 2nd stage foams.

if i remember correctly a dude on here, a while ago used to pc pipes, nitrotate ? or something was his name on here, the pc around the flange and first bend was burnt but the rest of it was good.

i wouldnt be surprised if ya had to lean the main out more. try the q0 as well but try some leaner mains, but keep an eye on the plugs. also check your plug caps (resistance) cut a bit off the lead before you screw cap on. check coil and pickup resistances n gaps n all that crap

What ya mods n elevation ? If i remember correctly 389q2 is the dump tube that comes in them, the 389q0 is leaner but unsure if there is a leaner dump out there. Q2 and q0 both worked for me, the q0 was a bit crisper but neither were a problem. I run a 270 main in my with 50 pilot (don't think i stuck a lean pilot in) either way it wasn't a problem. I run the stock needle on the leanest clip. bike runs awesome. My biggest issue was the main jet, i started at 350 and it would run like shit and splutter. This is with ported serval shearer pipes n these carbs. At sea level and 70f temps.

looks pretty haggard, yeh durations are the key but a good port job should be clean and symmetrical. if its not symmetrical then durations would be slightly off from each other or all together. and the rough texture for atomization should still be symmetrical and clean but just with a roughish texture instead of smooth like the exhaust. this is a decent looking portjob and ran real good too.

Banshees are the same through out all years. Just minor differences that dont impact on jetting. You're not going to find stock jetting with kn filter as they never came with a kn filter. So a manual is pointless. 200 to 220 main with 25 pilot at sea level with around 70f 25c temps. With lid and snorkle on.

i usually only put platinum / iridium plugs in stock vehicles you dont want to have to check the plugs for a long time. on all my performance stuff, they get normal plugs. ive had normal plugs last 40+hrs in the banshee, only reason i changed them was because i put another motor in it and wasnt going to use old plugs. they still looked good tho. personal preference i guess.
