I was ridin around on my 1980 yamaha TT250, I posted a pic of a week or so back ,when all of the sudden the clutch quit working. You can still shift through all gears but you cant use the clutch. Its like its none existint. Im not much of a mechanic but the thing the clutch cable hooks up to on the case should have some resistance, and it should pull the clutch cable back. Now when you pull the clutch cable it just stays in the foward position, it does not pull back. Ive never split cases on anything so im not sure how it works. I know there is a little spring on that metal peice but I didnt have one on my old shee and there was still plenty enough force to pull the cable back..now there is none. Kinda off topic but im clueless. Id like to get it fixed ASAP.

is a rear chain guide necessary?
Keyser Soze replied to fastashell's topic in General Banshee Discussion
My first shee didnt have one. I like to ride and dont always have money to fix stuff like it should be fixed. I ended up running one without it. Out of necessity no preference. I wouldnt recommend it. It could be fine for 5 years, or you can trash your case in 5 minutes. I only rolled the dice because im a broke hoe. -
Yes he will put a flywhell key in to advance to timing. I noticed a big difference with mine at +5. It will also cause your banshee to run a little hotter, I wouldnt start messing with stuff like that until you ride it awhile and work out any other bugs. There isnt much room for error.

Im probably going to head out there this weekend to. Anyone know the rules..I know you need a flag. Do you need any gear other than a helmet and eye protection?

If it wasnt for this site im positiv my shee wouldnt be running like it is...You should come to Attica this weekend.

Im a police officer in central Indiana. Thieves are the lowest form of life on earth. Anyone that will steal, will lie and cheat. There should be no court for someone caught red handed. If I ever caught anyone stealing anything id put the fucking badge in the car and stop a mud hole in someones ass. Then take their wallet. Errr I didnt mean that . Thats what I would have done before I got sworn I mean. Now I would read em Miranada and let the court give them probation or a few months of home vacation. I hope the guy that stole it gets into a gnarley ass wreck, and breaks at least two major bones, like a arm and a leg. -
Brock really only hit him with one good shot, herring flipped completley the fuck over and his face looked like shit from that one punch. Brock still sucks. He had his back at least half the fight and couldnt finish it. I wouldnt if Roger Huerta is still going to get his 100,000 per fight contract with PPV points LOL. Cheick Kongo thinks he is the greatest fighter in the world? Id be the best fighter in the world to if I was fighting Dan Evensen.

I have a +5 timing key. It works but I had another banshee set up at +5 and knew that was exactly what I wanted. It was also only $11 Plates were $35 plus shipping. If I got another shee set up differently I would get the plate for sure.

Picked this 1980 Yamaha TT 250 for free. It jumped time. Put it back in time and presto. The thing sounds identical to a 1998 Warrior I had. The seat is about the same size as my Banshee. Never seen one that big before on a dirtbike. Its more like riding a tractor than a dirtbike. The number plate up front doubles as a water jug, came from the factory like that..never heard of it. The handle bars need adjusted other than that its perfect. If anyone around Indiana has a old beater quad for my wife to ride I would trade. Otherwise you will just have to dream about owning such a fine peice of yamaha machinery. Sorry to post a misleading thread lol fastest production bike of all time. Just had to share my sweet deal with others.

Parts 4 Sale Banshee and Atc
Keyser Soze replied to NickisGod's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Dude what do you mean you have a lot of spare parts in your basement, and your just trying to make room for more important things. Looks like you have a Ebay store where you sell ATV parts. Its clear you made a profile and post just to advertise your store. It woudlnt get on my nerves if your stuff wasnt priced so high. -
Or a flywheel key. http://www.vitosperformance.com/atv_parts/...at=0&page=1 Cheaper and quciker install but only one timing setting.
-
Wow thats a super clean bike. What would you take for it minus the plastics.
-
Yea I noticed mine was a pain in the ass to clean awhile back. So I stopped cleaning it. I clean the air filters and the calipers, thats about it.
-
You guys should try the scrambles at Haspin Acers. Tons of fun if you dont mind dirtying up your quad.

I ride some pretty nasty trails and love having them cut. Pretty nice to be able to see your front tires.

I ride a lot of nasty trails in central Indiana. I keep breaking, or bending the thread on the outers. Someone told me tusk made some pretty good tire rod ends for the banshee but ive broke 2 in the past three months. My buddie rides a 400ex and has never had any tire rod or tire rod end issues. Could I make a complete 400ex set up work? Any other solutions?

I have a set in good shape. $10.00 shipped? You are talking about the carb to air filter box boot right? Sometimes the reed cages crack and people have called them intake boots. Eitherway I have both. Let me know. I accept paypal

The thin plastic grove the battery cover slides under to secure the battery get streched out easy. Mine quit working after one day. I broke the plastic grooves out and hot melt glued the battery cover on. Been working for 20+ hours of hard woods riding since. Shouldnt be to bad stripping out the glue once a yeat to change the battery

Chain will tighten and loosen on its own?
Keyser Soze replied to Keyser Soze's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Awesome thanks for the advice...Ill have to try that. -
Here is what I did bolt on wise. I typically edge out the stock 450's but loose by a little to modded ones. Shaved head .40 K and N pods Toomey t'3s Timing +5 Fmf reeds
-
Im no expert but that doesnt look bad at all. Since you can get a stock head for like $15.00 you may want to get another. When I took my stock head off like 4 months ago it looked worse than that, and I reused it. I'm pretty mean to it and havent had any issues so far.
