  1. I'm sure they could've shown better stuff that happens there. But, for some of us East Coasters, that show made us want to go there. Looks likw alot of fun. There aint nothing like that on this side of the country, All of the dunes over here are protected, and about 20 feet tall.

  3. I tried to PM this, but for some reason it's not working. I've been thinking long and hard about using a pump. My 35's run dry after long hard runs. I'm guessing they work off vacuum. If so, where do you get the vacuum from? And, are these for gas or alky, or does it matter? I'm not sure if this is the route that I want to take, though. I'm kind of weighing my options. Right now, I'm loking at a dual feed pingel and/or bigger bowls.
  4. This what you're looking for? http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...=450+conversion
  5. Yup, sounds like air in the line. Bleed it.
  6. I think it means Throttle OverRide System. It keeps the engine from over-revving. When parts of it start going bad, the bike won't run or runs bad. It's hooked to the thumb throttle, parking brake, and carb tops. Get rid of it before it causes you a bunch of problems. The engine will only rev up as high as your exhaust will let you, anyways. Unless your engine runs away. If that happens, you have other problems.
  7. Everything he just said, but it's a 12mm bolt head. Just took my pipes off today, polished them and put them back on. Takes about 5 minutes to take them off.
  8. You should try driving around here. Shit loads of Naval Bases, Army Bases, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, everything military. People coming from all over the world congregate right here in Hampton Roads. So many different driving styles. It sucks. Plus there's like 5 tunnels, and like 200 bridges. Everyone's scared to drive through or over them. Every single day, accidents backing up traffic for miles and miles. It takes around an hour, just to get through a tunnel, when there ain't even an accident. Alot of times, it would be faster to walk.
  9. My guess is, nobody has ever tried it. So, the only way to find out is for you to be the guinea pig. Measure the length, diameter, the eyelet inside diameter, and the eyelet width. See if they're the same, or close to the Banshee's. If they ain't, you're going to have to machine bushings or spacers, or even weld new mounts. It's not hard at all, if you have access to a lathe, torch, and a welder. If you don't have those things, it might be a good idea to invest in them if you plan on customizing stuff. Oh, and don't forget about the valving and spring weight of the KFX's, compared to the Banshee's..
  10. My personal opinion, HoleShots SUCK! I had them, and kept getting ate up by my boy's Honda 450R. I mean by like 6 bike lengths in about an 1/8 mile stretch. I bought some Maxxis iRazr's, and now he doesn't have a chance in hell. I get him by about 3 lenghts. They hook WAY better than HoleShots. Keep in mind that I do have a +6 swingarm, and I'm about 190 lbs.
  11. I posted the same question a few months ago. I got alot of replies to it, but I erased the thread. Most everyone said to stay with the thumb throttle. I'm glad I did. I ordered a Moose Racing polished thumb throttle. It's pretty much universal, and has a few different cable adjustments. I have 2, 35mm Keihin's, and it pulls them great. I was actually able to get my slides to open all the way with this one, over the stock thumb throttle. It looks very good, and has cut back on alot of my thumb fatigue. I think I either got it from RMATV or MotoSport. This is the one that I bought. http://www.mooseracing.com/catalog.jsp?lev...amp;startPage=1
  12. Someone got it for 6,975. Not much into that style of bike, but that's one lucky bastard. Whoever did the polishing on the case and jugs, got some major time in it. Definitely looks good.
  13. I highly recommend buying one of these. I bought this one from ModQuad. It is basically a small breather hose with a check valve at the end. The valve lets the tank breathe, keeps water out, and when/if you flip your bike, liquid gold doesn't come out of the breather. As you can see from the pic, it takes much abuse from my little one. For some reason, that's the only thing he likes to touch on my bike. Can't remember how much it was, but I do know that I wouldn't have bought it if it was too expensive. lol. Be careful on ModQuad's website, though. Someone on here said last week that there was a trojan virus on their site. I'm sure it's fixed by now, but just a heads up.
  14. The only good advice that I can give to you is, DO NOT USE STARTING FLUID EVER AGAIN! Check the compression on both sides. Hopefully something didn't give out internally. Also make sure you didn't just foul a plug. You said it's sparking, but are you checking just the wires, or did you check the wires and plugs?
  15. Not familiar with stock carbs, but was there a spring around the screw, holding tension against the head of the screw? If so, maybe it was weak, and wasn't putting enough pressure against it. I'm sure a new spring or stretching the old one would have prevented that from happening. That's the only thing I think could've caused it.
  16. Mine was stiff as hell, too. The guy that had the bike before me powdercoated everything, including the steering stem. It was never taped off where it goes into the bottom bushing, or where the collar up top bolts around it. I took it completely off, sanded the PC off in those spots, and put anti-seize all over those spots. Steers like a dream now. Just another thought.
  17. A 2-stroke fires on EVERY revolution. 4-strokes fire on every other revolution. Which is why your tach is reading twice the RPM that it is actually firing. The product that you bought is obviously not for 2-strokes. Here's one on eBay that is specifically for 2-strokes. The title says for 2 or 4 strokes, but read the description. This one is made for 2 or 4 strokes that fire on every revolution. He also sells them for engines that fire every other revolution. You need this one, right here. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-TACHOME...8QQcmdZViewItem
  18. it's probably for a 4-stroke engine
  19. All I'm gettin is a blank white screen, with no audio. Did you erase the vid?
  20. Damn camera flash. They show all kinds of shit.
  21. Were they just something that someone had, or was it a dealer selling a bunch of them? Besides the frame. the shocks are pretty much the only things on my bike that's stock. I'll be looking for some in the near future. Oh, I am 190lbs., wanna get rid of yours? lol.
  22. That's gotta be the first time I've seen a four wheeler with bicycle reflectors on the side. Just kidding, I'm jealous. Nice bike. Got any plans for it?
  23. My bad. I thought he was talking about the aluminum silencers. Yea, your best bet would be to send them to a chromer.
