  1. Most everybody on here is gonna tell you to go with the PWK's. I'll say this much, I had PJ's and loved them. Very responsive, snappy, and easy to set up. If I could find a set big enough for my 10mil build, I would buy them again. Just kinda curious though. How did you get a moderate/aggressive trail port on a Cub? They come from CP Industries pretty much drag ported. For a trail bike, I would have either kept the stock cyinders and ported those, or went with a Cheetah Power Valve motor. That's just my personal thoughts though. Good luck with the build, and welcome to the site.
  2. I think you're right. Yes, Banshee's are gone for now in the US. But the law has effected many other power sports and jobs. Fishing, lawn equipment, and the list goes on. 4-stroke outboard boat engines are extremely heavy, compared to a 2-stroke. They burn more fuel, and don't have the topend power. You ever tried weedeating with a 4-stroke? It sucks. My mom has one. Not only is it heavy as shit, but it has absolutely no power, and vibrates like a bitch. So, I agree with peterlocal. One day, they'll be back.
  3. Never seen Boonman or Holyman. Everyone else is on here pretty regular. Meat is a moderator on here now. Minkia38 comes on mostly to sell stuff.
  4. This is the World Wide Web, brother. There are people on here that have 2009 Banshee's, who do not live in the USA. Mostly Austrailia, Canada, or Europe.
  5. hahahahaha. Next time you go, wear a respirator.
  6. Where do you guys keep getting this off the wall information? There are a few people on here that have 2009 Banshee's. They are 2-strokes.
  7. Please quit yelling. Sometimes the impeller blades comes loose from the shaft. It looks like it's pumping good at idle, because of the friction. But when you rev it up, the shaft may be slipping inside the blades. Kinda hard to explain, but I'm sure you get it.
  8. Here ya go Snop. I beleive this is what he's talking about.
  9. Because in 2011, sale of 2-stroke engines will be banned in the US. It sucks, because some 2-stroke emmissions are getting better than 4-strokes. You will still be able to buy them overseas, and import them. But, dealerships will no longer carry them. For some reason, Yamaha decided to start early, and quit selling the Banshee over here in 2006. And, I agree. A 4-stroke Banshee, would not be a Banshee.
  10. Just call one of your local automotive electrical shops. It shouldn't be too much. It cost me around $75.00 to get a Chevrolet marine alternator rewound, at one of my local places.
  11. Depends on which model you have. Mine had a 6 month warranty. I have the fixed length Heavy Duty +4 axle. And go figure, after owning it for 9 months, it bent. The Eliminator and X-33 axles come with limited warranties, only to the original purchaser. Here's their site.
  12. I'm sorry, I made that confusing. You can get them in different sizes, yes. But the one cloeset to 72 is 73mm. So, there is no 521cc, you would have to go up to a 535cc. okbeast, according to all of the builders/racers that I've spoke to, there are no more reliability issues with the 10mil than the 4mil. You just have to upgrade on transmission parts. Availability for parts is just the same as any other aftermarket Banshee cylinder. They've been making Cheetah cylinders longer than the Cubs. The cub uses stock Banshee stuff, and the Cub uses stock Honda CR intakes/reeds. The heads come with removable domes, and you can get them with either a small flange or big flange exhaust outlet. The Cheetah uses Weisco pistons, rings, wristpins, and bearings. The only thing different would be the power valves. And you can get those pretty much at any CP Industries dealer.
  13. I second that motion. Usually, they'll have electrical stuff back within a few days.
  14. It's probably powder coated. Bead blasting cabinet. Northern Tool or Harbor Freight has them for around $99, for a small blasting cabinet.
  15. This is why I said you have to change them from 55w to 35w. The 55w bulbs use more wattage than the stock stator puts out, making them extremely dim. The stator puts out 100 watts. 55x2=110watts. Too much for the stator to light up. 35x2=70watts. Leaves plenty for the CDI, coil, and taillight, making the headlights brighter than the 55w bulbs.
  16. You have to take out the 55w bulbs, go to Home Depot, and get the 35w lights. The 55w bulbs use too much power, and make them real dim.
  17. Just got done emailing back and forth with Andy at M&M ATV. The Cheetah PV motor only comes in 73mm bore. Makes it 535cc's.
  18. The stock stator is 100w. If you really want to save yourself some money and headache, go to a local automotive electrical shop by you. Get them to spool your stock stator to whatever wattage you want. That's what I'm getting ready to do.
  19. That's what I'm rockin, and I love 'em. Maxxis iRazr.
  20. Very true. The problem with ethonal is, once it sits for a few months, it basically turns back into corn. It sludges up bad. Not a good idea to let it sit in your carb bowls while your bike sits over the winter. Really, if you store it for the winter, you should also drain the tank.
  21. They sell several different models, and most of them are plastic. If I remember correctly, there was a thread on here not too long ago, where people were bitching about the chrome flaking off the plastic housing of the Train Tech's.
  22. Get the impeller. Air temp isn't really the big issue, even though it does help flow more water. The real problem is it either getting grooved from the seal and causing a leak, or the impeller blade spinning on the shaft and not pumping at all.
