  1. I did mine on a bench grinder. I got a little outta control, and did the one between 1st and 6th. Doesn't matter though, cause it doesn't go past it anyways. Looking at this pic, the bottom right is the one you don't need to do.
  2. It makes up and downshifting MUCH easier. Instead of the roller having to go over tall, sharp humps, it goes over short, rounded humps. You don't have to use nowhere near as much force, while shifting.
  3. I think loco was saying, What's wrong with 36:1, 40:1, or even 50:1?
  4. I'll try to answer those question, short and sweet. Oil mix stays the same. Higher octane will not hurt your pistons. If anything, it's leaded, and will help a little. Adjusting the plate, a 10mm wrench, loosen the plate bolts, and turn it. And, one or both of the spark plugs backing out can be a couple different things. Detonation is one of them.
  5. Detonation is real hard to hear in our loud ass 2-Stroke motors. One sign is spark plugs backing out. Another is pitted pistons or domes.
  6. Firehead and a few others know their shit about all the flashpoints and stuff. Maybe you can PM him, and paste the link to this thread in it.
  7. Yes, only 1 drain plug, and right in the middle of the case. And you have to use oil that's made for wet clutches. Motor oil will destroy your clutch. There are several brands of 2-Stroke case oils. Motul, Klotz, Amsoil, Maxima, Yamalube, bla, bla, bla. There are also different weights of oil. You choose which weight is appropriate for the temperature where you ride, and how much viscosity you want. The list goes on. Me personally, I just use Castrol ATF Type-F.
  8. No, no, no. Timing doesn't change your compression. Advancing your timing requires more octane. Retarding you timing requires less octane. Smaller domes makes more compression, which also calls for more octane. Less compression calls for less octane. Different octane ratings alone, will not give you more or less power. I'm sure one of the engineers on here will jump in, and fill you in on all of the technical stuff about fuel -vs- octane -vs- timing, and the flash points of different gasoline octanes.
  9. It may be set at -4, because you have 19cc domes, and the last guy wanted to run pump gas. If you bump it up to +4, you may need somewhere around 98-100 octane, to prevent detonating. You could set it at +4, but I would say mix 50/50 with 110 octane and premium pump gas. Or, you could set it at +4, and change the domes to like a 21cc. Just my opinion.
  10. You need to find what's binding. Whether if it's a gear meshing with another gear, or a bearing. Are you using the same cases and transmission that you had originally? Did you replace any of the transmission bearings?
  11. It's a very good idea. I step torque also. Keeps the aluminum from warping while torquing.
  12. I've had that happen a couple times. It happens when you pussy foot around, and the silencers get wet, from unburnt 2stroke oil. Then, you romp on it real hard, and get the exhaust super hot, then the oil burns out of the pipes.
  13. Which boils down to about 1.6 quarts.
  14. Damn man. I hate to hear that. You said "she" in the second paragraph, second to last sentence. Was it a female that got you?
  15. There's a Cheetah bike being parted out in the for sale section. It has blockoff plates, intsead of PV's. You might see if it's bolt-on plates, of if they're welded. If they're just bolt-on's, you can buy the PV's seperate.
  16. That looks pretty slick, man. I like that seat.
  17. Yes, I got the same one. I tried to reply with a nasty response the same minute as I got it, but it said there was no such member. I didn't click on the link though. And I can promise you, it's not hillclimbr.
  18. What happened to the song? hahahahaha.
  19. Man, that sucks. I seen him on here selling a bunch of 10mm stuff. I never even thought about buying from him, since he was very new to the site. I looked at all of my boxes that I got stuff in, while I was building my bike. I don't think this is utleybanshee. I bought a lockout from him, and couldn't find any boxes with that name and address you gave in the first post. What's the PayPal address? I still have that in my history from sending money to utleybanshee.
  20. Go to the auto part store. It's the same one as a import car. Make sure it holds 16psi.
  21. Dag on, dude. Tate told you where to find your answer. I found it for you, and posted the link for you to follow. Nobody was saying anything was wrong with you. We're just trying to help you out.
  22. Pinned in Repairs And Mods. Here ya go. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=110585
  23. Also, make sure the ends of your circlips spun around, away from the hole. Keeps it from popping out, and grinding on the cylinder wall.
