    hi im looking for a good set of cylinders for a stock stroke crank. id prefer a ported set with a good set of pistons so i can just run them when i get them. if anyone has a set to get rid of let me know. i also have a good tranny to put tawords them if anyone is interested. thaks
  9. all i can say is i did that and broke a skirt on a fresh motor. then i checked the timing curve on my cdi and it was already advancing 7* or so over stock in some areas (rm stator high rev cdi). i would check it out first. :shrug:

  13. ayone have any ideas? the clutch basket has some grooving, would that cause this problem in only one gear? please guys i need your help. i have done the search thing ad thats all i could find was clutch issues....thanks
  14. hi guys. so heres the deal... tranny used to mess up in 2nd, it would shift fine but pop out under load, so i got a complete used tranny out of an 03 and put that in, then everything worked great except i couldnt get it to sift into 4th when drag racing or under load, it shifts fine when im just cruisin if i use the clutch or dont. so i took it all appart again and put the shift forks and drum from the first tranny(even though everything was good and straight) and it was a littile better but it still does the same thing. i cant see anything wrong with it. i guess i just dont know what to look for, any ideas or advice would be great. im tired of the trial and error what am i missing? ive already done the star and shaft mods, what else could i do while its appart, cut the dogs? thanks in advance

  19. what size tires did you have and what size are you putin on? rim size doesnt make a diff i gearing
  20. single cylinder makes more torque but dont rev as high and twins are opposit, thats why banshee's scream and usually are all mid to top power
  21. the fuel was only a week old, the jetting is 290 mains and 30 pilots on middle clip, plugs are black, i was running 260 27.5 in the summer and its about 20 f right now, everything looks good on the pistons so far im gonna tear it all down today
