  2. K&N Pods w/ outwears ... Toomey T-6's unless you plan to have your cylinders ported (take your pick of site sponsors) in which case T-5's are the better choice. snoop around this site and use the "Search" function .. will get you TONS of good information
  3. Get some courage up, open some books, do some research and try it .. if you dont/like it or cant do it, then dont... but trying to keep people from at least attempting to isnt doing anything to help the sport ..

  8. i will be attempting my first set soon (not with the expensive, "pro" tools) but i will do a full before/during after write-up of the processes i'll be taking as well as multiple pictures .. im sure it will get trashed, but oh well, I know there are TONS of people out there who would love to learn to DIY, they just dont have the courage to attempt it.

  10. the fact of doing the portwork yourself even if it is just widening the exhaust port, opening up/bridging the intakes, cleaning up castings, you can still say you've done the work. But if your wanting to sve money, then definately send it to someone who does it for a living. It DOES take alot of trial/error and a steady hand to be able to consistently do good portwork, but its NOT rocket science.
  11. good beginners write-up ... everyone either started w/ someone who knew the trade, or watching/reading videos like this ... that is all

  18. then you came out well i would think, even if it has a few problems ... but i did see the CL ad that someone had posted that it wasn't worth 3k (but who knows what that person did/didn't know)
