don't set a date until you have something running ... expecting to be at a race/ride on a certain day without even having your cylinders is not a good idea in the first place
I don't control what Jim does, what he wants to do is he choice... he does know about this thread, what he wants to do about it is totally on him ..... maybe Tyler should give him a call and talk to him about it ?
19 and +6 timing @ 1500 feet is going to probablly need at least 50/50 pump/race gas .. if your carbs are stock, 27.5 pilots, i would start with a 310 main, needle in the middle ..
Looking for an original, nice, and unmilled 1986 Kawasaki Tecate cylinder head. Dont want a junk one or one that has been milled, painted, blasted, etc.
I dont have much experience, I did run 100LL through a KX250 i had years ago and it LOVED it... the only things I know are the things that were taught in a Gasoline/Diesel Blending Techonology class I attended a few years back... most all of your questions can be answered here ...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avgas
100LL is the grade.. 100/130 is a grade in which the lean/rich conditions have been tested to in order to prevent detonation ... better suited for higher compression (such as turbo'd aircraft)
If your gonna run AVGAS (which im assuming your referring to 100LL) as a replacement for race fuel such as VP or Sunoco, I would make sure it is the green dye 100/130 grade..
Your cylinders will be fine Im sure ... just relax.. geez.. damn people get so worked up and call and call and call ... if someone doesn't answer, leave a voicemail, a text, and wait for them to get ahold of you.. you haven't got your taxes back yet so you can pay him anyways
