Nope, its an easy fix. Pull clutch cover, clutch basket, shifter shaft. ect.. You'll probably need to drill and easy out it. but in my experience they come out easy.
I'll bet $100 that the eccentric screw broke off. it very common. I fixed 4 this year alone. heres a link of what the part is.

I have a Torchworks radiator and billit impeller. Mine still runs hot in the dead heat of July. I found that straight water works great. My bike runs cooler, longer. Cools down quicker also. I do put 50/50 back in for winter.
That was my point. How can you own a bike like that and not know nothing about it? When you get into big HP its high maintance.
I think he was unloading a headache.
It seems hard to believe he knew of none of these many problems.
I could understand if you found one problem, but christ. It was a rolling wreck.
