  1. I would go for the full cheetah. Yes its more money, but easier to get big power out of. Heres a few tips. dont get the 400pv, its not that impressive. The 421, 472, 485, 492 all use 4mm crank. Heres the good news they all cost the same price. Off the top of my head I think $2870 shipped. The down side is the 472, 485, 492 require the top case to be bored and ported, cost about $200. The cheetah pv is like having 2 250R motors on 1 bike. The power valves make the throttle responce like a 4 stroke. Lots of power from top to bottom. all I can say is hang on if you get one.
  2. If moneys no a issue. Go with a 535 cheetah, well worth the money.
  3. Keep your eyes open, you'll find a Banshee for 500-600 bucks. I bought my 2001 for $800 with a blown moter. and more recently bought a 1998 for $600. ran but needed bottom engine case. Lots of good deals out there, Good luck.
  4. Dont waste your money. No BOOSTE BOOTLE and no REED spacers. All the booste bootle does is tear your intake boots.
  5. Call me crazy, but I found the kicker on the older bikes not to (JINGLE) 1987-1989. I put a 1989 kicker on my 2001 and the jingle has been gone for nearly 2 years. I've seen brand new banshees have the kicker jingle. Good luck if the fix listed above dont work try a old one.
  6. I hear it all the time. Thats the loudest Banshee I ever heard. Go with CPI, you wont be dissappointed.
  7. If your going to change all 4 bearings, you should get a new crank, it will only cost a few more dollars. Go with the HOTROD crank they come welded from the factory.
  8. I was looking for some opinions on a lock up clutch system. Likes & dislikes? Is it worth the money?
  9. I've had a 1988 Quadzilla for 5 years. Lets just say I dont miss it. I also had 3 banshees, from bone stock to crazy fast, and one somewhere in the middle. EVERYONE could beat that zilla in a race, not to mention I never had to push a banshee home. Race him. put some money on it. you'll WIN.
  10. A friend of mine got one in October. Very well built bike, quicker then a honda 450, but has no top speed. Banshee will pass right by it in 5th & 6th gear.
  11. Air hammer is the way to go. If that dont work get the die grinder out. I only ever had to cut one off and it was off a 1987 19 years of rust will do that. good luck.
  12. I have mine bored and ported for 73mm, I could not put a stock cylinder on it anymore.
  13. you better be careful man, you could float away.
  14. Im going to switch oil. I run klotz 32:1 pistons were only 6 months old and rings were mashed into the sides of pistons.
  15. Trinity racing sells everything you need for that.
  16. Sell those jugs, you could buy 7 or 8 cases of rolling rock.
  17. I also ride at coal hill and everywhere else in the area. I bought a +4. To tell you the truth it sucked on the trails, I hated it so bad I cut a 2 inches out of it. +2 is the way to go for all round ridind. Im pushing about 90 hp at the rear wheels, The +2 works well. The front pops up a little but its not bad.
