  1. Cool head billet ipemllor Engine Ice oversized radiator
  2. Sounds like you know what ur doin. your set up is almost identical to mine and I love it, I ride at 5000' and can get away with 91 octane in the cooler weather. I'll have to agree with bigred, you're gonna want a longer swinger... mine is a plus 2 and I'm planning on going to +4 or +6. You're deffinately gonna want a longer one at walden, I've seen Rippen's clips and the shit out there is crazy steep!! Oh and after the mods bigred suggested you shouldn't have andy probs with the 450's, my brother has a modded yfz that can't hang with mine in the steep shit or shootin the hills.
  3. Since ur gonna spend the money on the crank anyways, go for the stroker. Strokers make more power everywhere, especialy more torque in the bottom and mid. I'd get the longrod, because it causes less sideloading of the piston so it is more reliable. Talk to Kevin about what ridin you do the most and he'll be able to set u up with a port that's best for u. Be sure to tell him it's a stroker so he ports for that. That will eliminate the need for a spacer as long as u have domes custom cut for the stroke which Kevin can also do.
  4. Weak spark??? Messed up raitio on premix??? Carb sync??? By the way, welcome to HQ
  5. What's your elevation??? If you're at sea level you should be in the 260 ballpark on your mains. Do some plug chops and let that be your guide.
  6. WTF is this guy talkin bout??? Anyways, hell no to the rappy plastics on the banshee! Someone needs to put some banshee plastics on a raptor, maybe that would speed those turds up a little. lol
  7. Not too sure if its like AA or more like peer pressure, picture a recovering alcoholic sittin in a bar. lol
  8. Seals can dry and crack after sitting unused that long. The trans seals are not too big of a deal, but the crank seals on the other hand are a big problem if they leak. I would do a leak down on it if it were mine.
  9. That's impressive, The point is your margin for tuning error gets smaller and smaller the more comp and timing you throw at an engine. Your tune has to be on the gnats ass to run it that way.
  10. PM frogger, he always has a few sets for sale. Awesome prices on new and like new CPI's
  11. Personally I like the looks of the RPM's better, but I would just have someone chuck that cap up on a lathe and machine their logo off and leave the end of the cap machine finish, I think it would look sweet!
  12. So, I've decided there's somethin wrong with me. Every time I do more mods to my shee it impresses me for a little while, but I am soon bored with it and lookin for more power. My better half is pissed with me because my bike spends more time taken apart (for no reason besides modification) than it does together. Hell, I just want this thing to scare the shit outa me every time I ride it!! Is that too much to ask? lol :yelrotflmao: Does anyone else have this same problem? Brandon
  13. I stand corrected. I imagine the difference in findings probably has a lot to do with individual engine setup. I like my stock ported cages with boysens, $60 vs $230... is a couple of hp worth the extra $170. Guess that ones up to the individual.
  14. Also, how long has it been since this thing was ridden last? Is your gas fresh, are your carbs clean??? Just some stuff to think about. If my shee is parked more than a month, I drain the fuel from the tank and carbs then put some fresh fuel in next time I ride. An other alternative is stabilizer.
  15. Check your plugs, they should be grahm-cracker brown on the flat at the end of the threads. If they are whiteish you are too lean somewhere (pilot, needle, main) If they are dark brown/black then you are too rich somewhere
  16. If you buy the 50/50 stuff ur ok, if you get the concentrate stuff be sure to mix it with distilled water. the minerals in tap water are what really fuck up aluminum cores. Read the jug to be sure.
  17. I don't know how far you want to push it. That's a lot of compression to be throwing more timing at on a trail bike. When she gets good and hot on slower sections you might start running into detonation issues. If you do, you better check your plugs frequently for the first while to monitor it. just my .02
  18. PM frogger on here, he can get you the best deal on new or like new CPI's
  19. Mine are shaved, but I like both looks. I didn't have much choice after I rolled down a shale hill and !@#$ed mine all up.
  20. We should plan for sometime in may. Be warmed up good by then, but not too hot. Not that it's ever too hot to ride.
  21. I've got a ridin budy who has an 06 450R with the HRC kit on it, next time I go to LS I'll see if he can hang!! :yelrotflmao: I should have my CPI's by then too, he shouldn't be any problem. I know my brothers modded yfz can't keep up in a straight drag or hill shoot, I'll be damned if I can keep up through the whoops though, lol.
