  1. Probably not, I think those are just there to keep the fuel from sloshing as much.
  2. frogger and face both live really close to you. Probably know each other, lol.
  3. Yet more evidence against dumbo ears! lol That !@#$ing thing was tryin to fly away. lmao :yelrotflmao:
  4. Had my 06 SE for exatly one week when I decided to climb this steep !@#$ing shale hill up the canyon from my house. Did it 3 or 4 times, no problem. So I told my brother I was going for one more and was going to go above the grass line to hi-mark all of the tracks. Well....Shee came down 250' of shale end over end without me. Not so pretty anymore, guess I should have saved the extra $300 for the SE and bought plain jane. Got her back together now, cost almost $1000 to fix that !@#$-up. I ride past the hill often and for some reason it hasn't been very tempting, lol.
  5. I had to keep it honest and claim 4th for now, Just added a dune port, +4 timing , CPI's (maybe) and a lightened flywheel to the mix so we'll have to see once I get her back together
  6. Have you seen the "Hero's Truck" do a search for it, if you could get the guy who painted that??? I think the theme is awesome, being a combat vet myself. Good Luck  -Brandon
  7. Your jetting sounds pretty close, if your carbs look good then you need to check your compression. At that elevation with the stock head you should have around 110 to 120 psi (both cylinders need to be the same within 2 or 3 psi) make sure to hold the throttle wide open while you kick it.
  8. The best setup is porting and cut domes, but I agree with bansheefreak... if you're not going to port then the plate is neccissary and don't worry about the domes.
  9. I just run the cheap ol tusk atv sport bends from rockymountain, they're lightweight comfortable and only $25 so if they get messed up it doesn't ruin my day. I would much rather spend my budget on performance... just my .02
  10. Hopefully the weather keeps gettin better! Just checked and it was 51deg at the Mtn. today  Maybe we'll see some 60's for Easter
  11. Cromoly swinger, lighter handlebars, aftermarket exhaust...just a few heavy things to start with
  12. You don't need the spacer and cut domes, one or the other. As was said above though, best way is domes and have it ported to match the stroke.
  13. Just over 400lbs stock, been goin to get mine weighed for a while. Got a budy who's slimmed his down to about 275, but that's full chromoly frame and aluminum everything.
  14. Do yourself a favor, talk to some builders and see if they can come up with set of low-bore cylinders. I don't know if Kevin has any(he might), but some of the builders keep cylinders on hand. That way you're not shopping for junk on e-bag. I know that Kim at K&T keeps a few stockers lyin around, but his porting is pricey. PM Kevin and see if he can hook u up. As for trueing the crank, the pins are checked to make sure they are 180 deg of each other then they tig weld them in place on the outside of the crank webs.
  15. I don't have the TORS eliminator kit on mine and my tors is all unhooked. The eliminator kit is just meant to clean up the stock carbs and get rid of the ugly stock caps.
  16. How did the Banshee fare in their shootout, just out of curiousity?
  17. Sometime in 06' for the "last year" they gave the banshee a real short article with a couple of pages showing all of the diff color combos and the slight changes made over the years. Pissed me off that the only one not shown was the 06' SE that I have.
  18. With a dune port, I would deffinately recommend welding the crank.
  19. Also, make sure you hold the throttle wide open while you kick it over.
  20. How does it run with the choke, better or worse?? What color are your plugs??
  21. Just pull out your stock reeds and remove the stops and pedals, install the new pedals (fiberglass on bottom, carbon fiber on top) install the provided plates instead of stock stops. Use red locktite on the screws and put it back together. It's pretty simple, the reeds should come with some instructions.
  22. The stock carb bowls are both the same.
  23. Pull the choke out and see if it gets better or worse, if it gets better then ur too lean worse then ur too rich. Do this at 1/4 1/2 and 3/4 trottle. Make sure your carbs are in sync (slides at same height off throttle and open at exact same time when throttle is applied).
  24. Welcome to HQ, and enjoy your banshee  You should be able to find all the information you'll need on here to help ur learning curve and modify your quad.
