  1. Agreed, I don't think your hydraulic clutch is disengaging your plates all of the way.
  2. I don't remember what size right off the top of my head, but I use a drill bit that fits snug in the dowl...then I can clamp on it without mashing it to get it out. Haven't had one that I couldn't get out yet
  3. You are kicking it till the needle doesn't move at all? If that's the case and your reeds are ok, then I'm afraid it's something internal.
  4. Yes, your reeds can affect your compression. If they are not sealing, some of the intake charge will be forced back throught the carburetor instead of up into the cylinder.
  5. Your pipe selection will depend on your riding style. FMF's are a nice all around pipe, and very under-rated IMO. T-6's aren't best suited for internal engine mods, but can perform very nicely with a mild port job.
  6. Unless you are going with an aggressive dune port or more, I would recommend a set of 30mm carbs or smaller.
  7. cold and warm tests will vary by a few degrees as well...cold will give you a higher reading.
  8. You can use a caliper or a snap guage, measure the bore just forward of the slide.
  9. Haha, just had a thought....did you hold the throttle wide open while you kicked it? Also, was the engine warm or cold?
  10. Do a compression test so we know where you are with the 21's. I can tell you that you are losing hp with the 110 if you are under @170 psi static compression. 21's at sea level should only require 100 octane even with a +4 timing advance. I don't recommend running high compression above 160 untill you true/weld your crank. By the way welcome to the HQ
  11. I don't think your guage is reading correctly, even with the most aggressive porting you should be in the 180's at your elevation with 17's...Unless you have go something else going on. I would double check with an other guage.
  12. Those are gonna look sweet on your bike bro!!
  13. I've never had any problems with my Ricky Stator cast timing plate, or the countless numbers of modified (cast) stockers that I have done over the years. If you all want to pay more than twice as much for the billet ones then be my guest, I'd rather put that $45-$50 to better use elsewhere.
  14. I can't really tell from the pic where your timing is set at, but I'd have to say based on the pics that some of your power issues could be due to the amount of moisture that has been in your stator cover. Your stator and pickup coil won't function properly with all of that rust and corrosion. I recommend saturating it all with penetrating oil and using a brush to try and clean the rust up. If you can't get it clean, then you should look for a used OEM stator and flywheel with the correct plugs for your bike. I don't recommend the Ricky Stator units, based on my personal experience they are junk. Then to avoid this in the future, make sure your stator cover is sealed good ie: good gasket, no cracks in cover and that the plug is installed in the small hole in front of your sprocket  You can also leave a light film of the penetrating oil on the flywheel ect. to avoid further corrosion.
  15. The bottom gained isn't worth the top end lost IMO. A set of 28mm duals will kill a 2into1 on top and be very comparable on bottom.
  16. Has to be polished to near chrome finish before it's dipped, that's most of the price for chrome work. Crown Plating in SLC, UT will do items that large. (801)364-0202, ask for Joe.
  17. I think you'll be much happier with the inframes
  18. If you plan on doin any type of ridin besides drag, the I'd stay away from the override. Reguardless of what you may hear, it's not a good idea to backload the duneable ones. None of them are suited for trails or MX.
  19. Any chromer with a large enough tank can do them. I have one that will dip a whole chassis for @$200 if you do all of the polishing yourself.
  20. looks like it's coming along nicely. You should be in the mid 50's with those mods.
  21. You'll see a significant loss of bottom end and very little gain on top, compared to your SST's. The banshee's stock port timing is not even close to what those pipes require for optimal scavenging.
  22. Please post here in regaurds to all of my transactions. Feel free to be 100% honest
  23. Very good man to deal with, I wouldn't hesitate to do business with him
