  1. The ones in your pic look upside down to me
  2. And even if you have the straight piece forward you still need to make sure it's the correct angle at the case.. make sure it's not upside down
  3. Both sides of the lower motor mount struts have rubber bushings. One side bolts to a removable flange on the frame one side bolts to the under side of the case. (Sorry posted the same time you did)
  4. If you removed the struts completely off the bike make sure you put them in the correct way. One end is angled and one is straight. The angled end goes tword motor so that it's flat when it bolts to the bottom of the case
  5. Make sure you have the lower motor mount struts in the right direction. If you have those in wrong they will thread in part way then bind up. They will only go in one way correctly.
  6. White smoke is going to come from coolant. If you have raw fuel in your pipes your bottom end is most likely going to be full too (do not try and kick it, it will "hydrolock" and bend a rod). If it is fuel it's cause the needle and seat is not fuctioning properly. If it's coolant is going to be most likely a head gasket.. (Orings if you have a billet head)
  7. Use the link plates off an old chain. Drill one side to eccept a 6mm bolt bolt to flange. Instant spring holders..
  8. Just to give you an idea: Cases- $1995 Crank- $1800 Tranny- $2500 Clutch- $1100 Straight cuts- $475 Clutch cover- $500 Shift forks- buy them by the pallet And that's just the bottom end.. Topend- $3500 Pipes- $1000 Carbs- $1000 And that's just the big stuff probly another $2000 in small stuff not to mention labor
  9. You say you have a crank and cases what stroke is the crank?
  10. And your big bore pipes can't even be modified to work not even close
  11. Stock ignition timing plate will need modified to fit the big bearing billet cases. 1-5 stock tranny override will not hold up you need a billet tranny($2500) your Hinson 8 plate clutch set up will not work you will need a 10 or 11 plate clutch which requires a differant cover(about $2000) but I know nothing
  12. You are at +4 3rd notch below the - is zero you are 4 notches past that so you are at +4
  13. The only cyls avalible right now are 76mm stroke and 97 or 98mm bore and last I talked to CP they only had 2 left maybe one cause I bought another.
  14. 144mm cr500 rods have been discontinued. Hot rods was talking about running another batch but who knows when.
  15. I may have "no clues" but, your still a CS. Do you ever have any USEFUL information?
  16. Can't really go bigger than than 72mm stroke in stock cases. Anything bigger than that you should use a big wheel crank. Is doing a 72mm stroke in stock cases a good idea? Not for the average guy imo alot of flex unless you cast plugs and weld them in but you mess up one set and have to do another (with the cost) you miswell buy billet..jmo can you do a 78mm stroke in stock cases, yes, is it practical.. no again jmo
  17. The outside transfers are wider therefore the inside transfers have to be longer to get the same volume on a 102 spread. Do to core shifts in the casting process it is up the the person porting it to make them right.
  18. ALL stock stud locations are used!! You need to extract the broken one if you have the ability without messing it up. If you don't feel comfortable doing it who ever you sent the cases to to have them modified for the DM should be able to do it
  19. Put everyother one in.. set the other ones in which will be angled up. Use a hammer and smack the side that is sticking up at an angle. So basically your not hitting the top of the puck you are hitting the side to compress it. Any other way will cut material off the puck and will fail prematurely
  20. The silencers definitely look like fmf as the lrd doesn't have the ridge that runs sown the top. I was just referring to the tips.. my bad
  21. Check the wiring harness where it passes by the pipes harness may have got melted and shorting out.. just a thought
