  1. my kick starter rattles like an alarm clock when running..how are the rebuild kits? and are there any that are better than others? thanx
  2. ok thanx..i took it apart and shot carb/choke cleaner everywhere..now im putting it bak on and cheking if it helped
  3. just put new/used carbs on my banshee..they run great..my problem is that when the gas is on, the right carb spits gas out like a fountain out of the yellow drain line near the swingarm (the lowest line on the carbs)..why is this? is it the floats? waht could it be? any ideas would help..thanx
  4. i couldnt get this thing started..its a 2000 banshee stock except boost bottle vf3's and barnett clutch..i checked the compression..120 each..checked spark..fine..even put new plugs in..checked choke tube..its connected..once the bike is running..it runs like a champion..no bogging/under powered etc..runs great..i had a friend come over and we narrowed it to the choke/carbs..once the bike started after 100 kicks..the choke didnt effect idle at all..so i pulled the choke and inspected o rings..looked fine..i sprayed some choke cleaner in the choke hole and on the choke itself..i put it back in..we found that it will start when you manually choke it with a towel over the air filter manifold..i forgot to mention its a single k&n filter..so i think my choke is the problem but it looks fine..now when the bike is running the choke makes a difference in idle and will kill the bike when hot as it should..i took it apart today after riding at the track over the weekend. the choke spring was covered with dirt and grit from the track..so i suspect that maybe the boot that covers the choke is allowing grit in and over the past how ever long its been ridden dirt has gotten in the carbs and thats why it won't start?..i just dont get why it wont start up when cold..after many hours at the track it wouldnt even start when hot or warm..which makes me think it was because the dirt was getting in there? so basically before i tear the carbs out and clean them (which i dont even know how to do yet) does anyone think its safe to use a fuel additive or gas cleaner? like one off the shelf at an auto parts store? just thought i'd give it a try...any suggestions would be great! thanx guys
  5. i'll check it out soon..and btw..do vf3's require a rejet?
  6. so if this is the case..the float bowl swap..would it manually choke fine?..like if i covere the air filter manifold with my hand or a towel?
  7. i was thinking about that..im gonna pull it off again and see..when i looked at it before..it looked fine..but ya never know
  8. ya i checked that choke line and it seems fine..mayb i just need a new choke assembly
  9. i dont get this though..if i had ANY of those problems..my bike would run like S#it though..right?..i rode it 3 hrs straight..no bogging or any problems at all..no hesitation anything..its purely a choke issue
  10. if that was the case..i would have problems with running/fuel..which isnt the case..but thanx
  11. ya..i checked the hose..its there and good..i'm thinking with u about the plunger..i just think its wack how mine can look fine and it just doesnt work?..i'll see what happens when i get a new one
  12. i forgot to mention..its stock except for vf3's..boost bottle..barnett clutch
