  1. Do some research on the RZ 350. You will learn quite a bit about powervalves and the origin of the banshee motor. I think it's the origin anyways.
  2. I wouldn't worry very much about the snow getting into it. What does get in will sit in the bottom and drain out when you pull the plug.
  3. You need to rejet to go with all your mods that require it. More air=more fuel.
  4. You could use part type F and part 10w-30. The oil would be good for lubrication and the tranny fluid would help with friction on your clutch discs.
  5. Or you could've just put it in gear and let the clutch out and held the brakes. It's hard to think logically when something like that is going on though.
  6. Any time you go with more compression, you have to retard the timing, or bump up the octane level of your fuel. I see you are already running alky, sooooo. You might have to go a little bit richer on your jetting too.
  7. Spend the money on something else besides that one. Like said, it isn't noticeable difference in power.
  8. A lot of other things run that crap. I think yamaha uses it extensively on all their stuff. Yfz 450s have it. My buddy's little switch on the handle bars was bad and it took some major brain power to figure that one out.
  9. Did he do a filter at some point and not rejet it? That's kindof what it is sounding like to me. You can tell by just looking at the plug if it's too rich or lean by the color. If they are black or dark brown it's too rich. A nice chocolate milk color is what you want.
  10. My vote is on detonation. This happened to my truck(too much timing, not enough octane).
  11. Your filters shouldn't have caused you those issues, If they were oiled correctly or at all. I've had really good luck with kandn stuff.
  12. I would say that's why some drag guys go with power valved jugs. For that little bit extra bottom end that they loose.
  13. Just the cylinders themselves. No PVs or electrical of any kind.
  14. They have part of the factory black paint on them. No visible gouges in the bores. They will need bored and honed to match your pistons. Was going to do a rz conversion on my shee but never got around to doing it. If you would like pics I can email them to you. I couldn't get them to upload on here. Thanks.
  15. If you didn't catch the article you should. It's about an efi kit on a banshee. Pretty high priced though...$2000. Wow.
  16. Yeah it gives low and mid which might be alright for flat tracking. They say that it takes a little from your top end but I sure didn't notice it on mine.
  17. I was going to suggest main jet size for this guy but Im running a lot bigger than 200. Isn't that about stock size? Im running a 320 right now and it runs bad ass but uses a lot of fuel. I just ordered 310s and 300s to try to get it to use less fuel. Am I was off base on my quad? All my mods are in my signature.
  18. No response. You know what that means. I freaked out the first time that I fell for the ol pariking brake rev limiter. I seriously thought that my quad was screwed.
  19. It will be noticable gain from the cool head. I'm thinking you'll have to go with race gas for 20's though. If your doing that you might as well do an adjustable timing plate too.
  20. Look for stress joints in the frame at all the welds. This is a good indicator of being rolled or rode too hard.
