  1. Plus one on the r-50. It's good stuff. Smells good too. I'm running 32:1 on premix. I think what was said on everything else sounds good too.
  2. Problems?!?!? I had a blaster before my shee and that thing was a tank. I put gas and oil in it and rode it. My banshee hasn't given me an ounce of problems, except for when human error was involved. You show em what a yamaha 2 stroke can do. Make us proud.
  3. When you advance the ignition timing, it makes the plug spark sooner. They spark before the piston is at the top of the cylinder. This burns the air fuel mix more effeciently and makes more power. It makes more compression. More compression=more power to an extent.
  4. Yeah. Probably not going to be noticeable by feel, but will help. Every little bit helps.
  5. That's about what mine is at compression-wise. I'm thinking about bumping on up to 5 and just seeing if the difference is noticeable or not. Curious if it will ping or not too.
  6. You could get a led taillight bulb and free up some wattage(if you are running a taillight).
  7. I recommend the chariot. They are nice pieces. A lot of guys run the ricky stator plate. They are cast like the stock one so....... I bought a chariot one from the site sponser off of ebay. It is billet and looks pretty but serves the same purpose as the RS one. You choose. The billet ones are more durable but that doesn't seem to be an issue with timing plates.
  8. Mine would run that lean but when I went to give it gas while moving, it acted like it just wanted to die. Yeah you deff need some richer main jets.
  9. I didn't say anything about not heating the flywheel. I agree with that 100 percent. I just said don't heat the crank. What do you think that welding the puller on the flywheel does??????? Heats up the flywheel not the crank. Don't bust my balls for trying to give a little advice. Please.
  10. This worked like a charm on my bike the first time. I haven't had to do it again. Don't put heat on the crank. This will expand it and make it tighter in the flywheel.
  11. I've got a ticker too. I thought that it was the reeds working.
  12. The tube that is being referred to is the choke crossover. My bike wouldn't start when i left if off. Some guys say that they will start and rev like crazy. Just double check everything when you're going back together.
  13. Maybe for flat track but not mx. I don't even know if I would for flat track or not either. You're adding more weight with that setup. Lighter is faster.
  14. Yep. Make sure that you get that nut tight. I use an impact on mine for a couple hits.
  15. Or instead of mixing, you could bump your timing up a little more too. That would take some of your topend away though.
  16. I don't think that lead levels matter in a newer motor that's carbed. You could run either, but the low lead is probably gonna be better for the envirnment. Not like it would make a difference on a two stroke. I love pollution.
  17. You might be able to reuse your gaskets if you use some type of spray sealer on them. I use copper seal spray on things like that as long as there's absolutely no tears of nicks in them. I don't know if I would chance it though either. Air leaks are bad. As far as your wrist pin question, I don't know. Love your signature. That's the only sticker I have on my shee.
  18. I would say that since it's only one side that had a problem, it was an air leak somewhere on that side. I didn't catch who put the carbs on the motor but it could've been something as simple as that that caused your problem. Always do an air leak test before you go starting a new build. If the builder did this before the carbs were put on and it was fine, then theres your problem. You didn't after installing the carbs, before starting.
  19. Yes they are the same but only the Liquid cooled rd350. They have power valved cylinders though. You would need all the electronics to make that setup work.
  20. +1 on that one. This would tell you for sure if something heating up is the prob or not.
  21. Thanks for that one guys. I still wouldn't buy a mod quad one though.
  22. Ive heard not to get the modquad or prodesigns. You need to make sure that the shaft is chromoly or steel and the impellar is aluminum.
  23. My buddy has run razor 2's on sand and dirt. They run great on both. He said that he couldn't tell much difference between the razors and sand star dual ribs on sand.
