  1. Could it be a spark plug boot issue? Swap wires and see if it moves to the other cylinder.
  2. I'd say that something could be jacked up. I don't have any clue why you would set your timing at -5*. I'm sure that setting it at plus 4* would help it run better. From 0 to plus 4 helps them run better. Check compression, as said, and go from there. If you got a modquad impellar, you might have issues.
  3. My vote is for sandblast/ceramic coat. It would still be cheaper than new pipes and look good for a really long time. It would keep the heat in the pipe better too.
  4. That's damn good advice right there. Thanks for that one man.
  5. You shouldn't need anything bigger than a 27.5. Your carbs have to be dirty or you have an air leak somewhere. Does pulling the choke out halfway help any?
  6. You're one sick bastard. Funny though. I should've read all the posts before I clicked that one.
  7. Sounds like it's a tors issue for sure. Eliminate that puppy and ride.
  8. Just unplug the box and youre done. You adjust the idle the same way as before...the two screw adjustments on the tops. The kit is to change carb tops and make it less cluttered and put idle adjustments in the carb body, instead of on the tops.
  9. Don't waste your money. Buy something that will make your quad faster.
  10. What's the best way to remove the factory decals? I'm probably going to clean and polish my plastics before I even try to put on the new graphics. I'll probably care about the appearence of my quad more once I get the new graphics on. I have a hard time getting over the fact that there are a million 06 blue banshees. This is why I just rode and didn't worry about scratches or anything like that. Thanks for the suggestions.
  11. Welcome to the site man. You will find anything you would ever want to know about Banshees on here. Right when you think you would be the first one to do something, you're not. Somebody has already done it. When I bought my shee, the guy gave me a clymer manual with it. You can't go wrong buying one of those.
  12. AMR stick on graphicsLook here. These are pretty awesome looking. AMR seems to be one of the only places that makes cool stuff.
  13. Google graphics kits for yamaha banshee. Alba has some tribal flames that look pretty cool.
  14. Can someone post a pic of those clamp ons? They sound cool.
  15. Has anybody on here used the stick on graphics from rocky mountain or a place like it. I did the ultimate atv no no and car washed the shee and lost part of my stock decals. Was wanting to change it up a bit and go with something pretty cool looking. Just wanted to know others experience with them.
  16. I would say 32:1 or 40:1. That would be general concensus on here.
  17. A float not set right might cause it too. I realy wouldn't think that it's electrical. Check your carb on that side.
  18. I thought when you turned the key on it completed the circuit. With it off it was open. I could be wrong though. If there are only two wires, I would think you could splice them together and be fine.
  19. That's a hell of a thought right there. The lazy man's way to rejet for the winter. I like the heck out of that idea. I'm 100% with you on this one man. I'm just mad because I didn't think of it first.
  20. After it sat overnight and you put new plugs in it, did you choke it when you were kicking it over. Mine, it seems like after riding and then it sitting 30 min or so will need half choked to get it to start. As for the gas in the bed of your truck, it's probably dirt in the carbs, not letting the float needle shut off your gas all the way. When you park it, shut off the petcock. I don't like finding out the next morning that has happened and you've wasted however much gas/oil mix on the shop floor.
  21. Agreed. I'll probably bump up a couple jet sizes just to be safe, then bring it back down to where it needs to be.
  22. I use that copper spray on everything from lawnmowers to my supercharged 93 lightning. I love it and will continue to use the heck out of it. I recommend it to everyone.
  23. I like the colors of the plastics. Good looking bike man. Have fun and ride safe.
  24. Good mod. I'll keep that one in mind when I do my 4mill and cool head.
