  1. I'm thinking it's the wrong pilot jets too. Check them puppies out and if need be, put your old ones in the new carbs. No biggie.
  2. Have you checked your pick up coil gap. It might be a touch loose. Maybe the ground on your coil. Is your spark consistant?
  3. Picked up the a arms and shocks for the yfz conversion for $250. It makes a hell of a difference in handling. IMO.
  4. In the future, only work on one carb at a time. It's harder to get parts mixed up that way.
  5. I'm thinking it needs a bigger main jet too. You might check and see what groove your needle clip is in too. You might need to move it toward the point of the needle one notch. This will help your mid range a bit.
  6. I bought mine brand new from rocky mountain and they were perfect. I cut the rubber tabs off of the old intake like it said and put them on. It ran beautifully after I put the choke tube back on. Oops. I never had a bit of trouble with leaks.
  7. You might think about a 4 mm longer stroke crank since you have to get new pistons anyways. You can just get the ones for the diff. crank while you are buying. It will definately give you more torque. Porting is a really good thing to do to wake up anything.
  8. And your bike runs good? All the power it used to be? I'm new enough that, I'm not real sure on the problem. I would think that the ports are supposed to line up at some point in time throughout the stroke though. Somebody else could give you better advice than I could. Good luck with it. Hope you get it fixed and running soon.
  9. Yep. They will work in your situation. Hey 268, do you flat track or tt your bike. I've seen pics of it before and just noticed the anti sway setup. Nice.
  10. Welcome to the site. I'm pretty new on here as well and every question that I've asked has always been answered. You will find that, when it comes to banshees, this is the place to come. Another thing...Always check the for sale on here before you go and order stuff for your quad. There are great deals to be had.
  11. Your carbs might just be plugged up. That happens when stuff sits for a while. Check the reeds like mentioned above and if they check out ok, I'd go into the carbs. Make sure they're not all gummed up. You said the plugs were dry...if you are getting fuel they should be a little bit wet.
  12. Yeah. It sounds like carb issues to me too. I'd go with the 27.5 pilots and make sure that your problem side carb is cleaned out good. Double check that choke tube. My bike wouldn't even start without it.
  13. LMAO. That's hilarious. How come nobody posted back? Probably because that couldn't be topped.
  14. Yep. Those are good looking. Thanks for the link. I'm shopping now but, at some point, I will have some kick ass graphics.
  15. I don't argue. I know that somebody else is always going to know more than me. I am putting HIDs on my bike when I get the money. I was thinking about the trail tech 4" 75 watters. Damn bright.
  16. It could be a number of things. It could be flooding on that initial start up. Are you kicking it for 20 mins with the choke on or off? It idles fine once warmed up?
  17. Not to steal the thread or anything....but since were on the subject. I was thinking about the 4" trail tech 75w lights. Run them in the stock location. Do you think that a 200w stator would keep up with those babies? I'm planning on doing the dc conversion with a battery. I read the article in dirt wheels on the fuel injection setup for a banshee and they were running the 4inchers. Just curious.
  18. I would say to have them broke down and bead seal them. Before a dune trip, a buddy and I did this to two fronts. Popped them off the beads and liberaly coated them with rubber cement. Aired them back up and NO LEAKS. Worked like a charm.
  19. Sounds electrical to me too. I would put my money on the stator. Not saying RS is junk, just saying bad stator.
  20. You should get an adjustable timing plate, like said above. They will give a little for what they cost.
  21. Hell yeah. That's what I was thinking too. If you are proficient with a mig or tig go for it. I think it's a pretty good idea, myself.
