  1. Mine doesn't hit on the left side while putting around then at half to wide open it does great. I'll do some checking too. I haven't changed plugs since I bought it so might try that.
  2. What do you mean by they are junk? Do they quit working or what?
  3. The hotter the combustion the more power you will obtain. I run 87 vs. 91. I think pump gas you won't feel a difference but if you put in some high octane race fuel it would run like @ss. You need the extra compression to burn the fuel effeciently. Any pump gas is fine in a stocker.
  4. I just didn't know how reliable the degree keys were. I do now and will be purchasing a timing plate and higher wattage stator instead. I'll probably do a dc conversion and run HIDs too.
  5. Sounds like a pain in the @$$ to me. May be worth it to someone who rides all the time a demands 100% power all the time and needs to be able to tune to achieve that goal. I wouldn't ride enough in a lifetime to need that.
  6. How often do they quit? Any warning signs or since they're electrical do they just up and quit?
  7. Who makes a quality piece? How much adjustability is offered? Only looking at about 4*.
  8. Plus one on the ACs. I got mine for twenty bucks because the kid that had them didn't like them, but they are awesome bars with nice built in pegs.
  9. Thanks guys. I had no idea and knew that you get what you pay for most of the time and cheaper isn't always better. That's what I was leaning towards. Thanks again.
  10. Both of these items accomplish the same thing, right? I know that the degree key is a set amount and with the adj timing plate it's obviously adjustable. Any perks to either? Which would you guys recommend?
  11. I just made my own linkages. I put holes on them for 4 and 5" lower. I'll let you know how it works out.
  12. A guy I was talking to said that the most they get off the ground when TT racing is maybe 10 inches off of little bumps. He said that he wouldn't even classify them as jumps. I just want it to be able to go around some corners really well.
  13. I did the whole yfz 450 front suspension. Now I need to lower the back end to match and possibly come up with a way to raise the front end too. That way I could TT and go trail riding also.
  14. Sorry. Didn't realize we were posting our guiness book record time carb cleans on here. I was just posting for an amateur doing a thorough job. Just kidding on the first part.
  15. You might need to pull your carbs, take them completely apart and clean them up really well. I went through a creek that was deeper than I thought and the same thing happened sortof to me. Try that and go from there.
  16. Our bikes have a feature that only lets them rev so high with the parking brake on. They idle fine but when you give them gas they just bog. You might've got water in something to do with that and it's thinking that the parking brake is on when it's not.
  17. I think that this is the first time I've heard of a steel or a moly shafted impeller having probs.
  18. More timing will give you more torque all throughout the rpm range. It sparks your air fuel mixture in the cylinder at TDC right now, when you adjust your timing it sparks before your piston gets to TDC and therefore makes your fire in the cylinder burn hotter and it pushes down on the piston harder. Thats what gives you more power.
  19. I was told not to purchase an impeller from modquad because the shaft on them is aluminum too. The seal will actually wear a groove in your shaft and then both will need replaced after very few hours. Make sure that the impeller that you get next has a steel or chromoly shaft. It won't wear out.
  20. My Bad!!!! So that means that banshees are better than them regular ol yfz 450s huh?!?!?!
  21. I've got it all figured out now and am about to have some yfz 450 suspension on my yfz 350.
  22. When installing the lower a arm on each side, do you put the front in the original location or the back? Which side has the spacer, the front of the front mount or the back of the back mount? Picked up some a arms and shocks for $250 from a guy and he threw in some AC Racing nerf bars with built in heel guards. I couldn't pass up a deal like that!!!
  23. With the yfz setup, you have to get longer tie rods. RIGHT?????? I picked up a whole yfz front suspension, all the a arms and 2 shocks for $250. Just wondering exactly what all I'll need for the swap.
  24. Hey climbanyhill, what kind of lights are on your quad? Are they much brighter than stock?
