High velocity(small bore) makes low end and high volume(big bore) makes top end hp. I'd say you would need a stroker with port and big carbs to get full use out of the big bores.
It does say on the sticker warning: run premium unleaded only/oil premix. It's always ran good with regular in it. I will definately be sure to run premium with the new timing plate adj to 4. Thanks for all the advice guys.
Got my parts: adjustable timing plate by chariot and a flywheel puller. Put it all on my quad today and runs fine. It sucks though. I had to set it at 0 because I just filled the tank with regular unleaded and need to run it out before I mix up some premium.
I know what detonation in my truck sounds like. It's almost a clattering. What sound describes it on a shee? Not being dumb, just want to know for future reference.
