  1. If it was my multipurpose dune/drag bike id go +10 arm, 11 pdl sls extremes with small bore shearer IF's. For gas and alky carbs I like 39 PWK's but really its more important to run what your comfortable tuning. Tuning a motor on alky isn't the scary black magic a lot think it is and it sure does make some power. But for dune riding I can see wanting to run gas and a tank full will take you farther. Just my 2 cents... Happy parts shopping
  2. About equal to 2 tooth smaller rear sprocket
  3. That's not funny. Going prematurely is a medical issue..... J/K lol Good time was had by all. Can't wait till October.
  4. Like stated above could be easy as needing adjusted but likely culprits are grooved basket or inner hub, worn outer hub or basket thrust washers and warped steels. A clutch that drags is one of the things I can't tolerate.
  5. That's what I'm talkin about! Won't believe it till you try them, one heck of a sleeper tire.
  6. 35.5 is a great carb on alky, no gas carb experience tho. I'm not a stryker fan but 35 PWK is a tried and true gas carb.
  7. I can tell you difference between the comp cut Brats and 22x11x8 10 pdl sls haulers but not a regular buff hauler. But between Brat and sls id say Brat is better play/drag tire. I own more sets of sls' than brats so I'm not just more partial to Brats.
  8. Mmmm the smell of methanol and the cackle of out of frames in the air...... Can't wait!
  9. For a play/drag tire at LS one of my favorites is the 21x12x8 9 pdl comp cut padla brat. They're always what I throw on the back of the play bike. They hook like crazy off the line and the wide tire makes a stable duner. And the super lite tire keeps you cranking on the big end! I know not one of the tires you asked about but worth looking into.
  10. If temp stays down around 90 like forecast is saying, we're gonna head down for day trip Saturday. Hopefully people will see weather might be bearable and come out.
  11. 300 ft organized racing is great, but sometimes you just feel like running it out the back door
  12. I think they make for a good play tire, I borrowed a set for my 400EX because the sand stars I ordered hadn't come in yet. The following weekend when I got to run the sand stars I was seriously disappointed in how much traction I had lost compared to geckos. Needless to say I wasn't sad to see the stars leave with the 400EX. I would go with smaller rim than 10" but Besides that they have my vote on a good cheap play tire.
  13. X2 on the billet bowls. Drill the dump tubes and turn the power jets out as much as you want, its hard to fix a lean bike with nothing in the bowls!
  14. Buy a Hotrods crank, for just a little more money you'll have new crank and no worries about it being true. They're all over ebay and show up in a few days, how can you beat that!
  15. Why not have Jeff convert your pwk's to alky? He's the man for pwk alky carbs
