  1. the 4joke humper hippies have taken over that rag. i hardly ever buy one anymore.
  2. i think they are discontinued. however electrosport was the supplier and still makes them.
  3. go back and delete the pics. its fucking annoying to see the same ones a dozen times because you think you need to quote everything. I definately like the setup. you have thought this out.
  4. excessive piston to cylinder wall clearance causes skirt cracks.
  5. i never get this lucky. when it dies its usually pretty catastrophic.
  6. sounds like you need to go though and clean them really well. blow ALL the passages out with compressed air. i fought this forever on my dirtbike. it wouldnt idle worth a damn and off idle response sucked. after cleaning it again and verifying all the passages were clear it runs great. also its a 2 stroke, do be afraid to keep the revs up.
  7. diet if you can. no joke either. he already has the advantage of a lighter bike and lighter rider. even it out a bit i been wanting to lose a few lbs for this reason.
  8. also dont coast alot with the clutch in. it welds the ball to the push rod and is quite a mess to remove.
  9. have you actually checked? just because it HAD fluid doesnt mean it still does. its a banshee
  10. check out truck stops and stores. truckers like shiny stuff and tey generally have some damn good stuff there.
  11. the splines are the same so you could find some 400ex hubs and swap them on. i have a buddy that run yamaha hubs so he can share tires with us since he is the only honda homo.
  12. pretty sure you have to get full flights setup for the 450 shocks for it to work? or at least thats the impression i got.
  13. i lost the stator side bearing in my stock stroke hotrods crank. ran metal though the top end and transhed everything. all the other bearings had a fair amount play too. 4 years old.
  14. mine was a bitch to start when its cold too. put a heater on it for a bit before you start it.
  15. great list. if you are so inclined a battery powered 3/8 impact is VERY handy for just taking stuff apart. way nicer than an air ratchet. a nice caliper is good for checking a bore size.
  16. ive heard this too. this thread seems to confirm that http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-847485.html
  17. i heat cycle mine twice for a few minutes each and then beat the shit out of it. seems to work fine. mine wont idle for 10minutes though without overheating.
