  1. i had a random thought today since i spend alot of time with nothing but my random thoughts in the truck. is the brake cleaner you are using flammable? alot of the new stuff isnt. i like to use soapy water to find leaks. an unlit propane torch works too in a pinch. edit: i try not to come off as arrogant or crabby, this 14hour work day shit is killing me. if i am not clear just ask and i will try to explain better. stuff that makes sense to me usually doesnt make sense to anyone else.
  2. at least im not the only one that found it amusing that i beat one. I was thinking no way that just happened. 3 races later. yea i guess it did!
  3. talk to your builder about your riding and see what he says. Since you will be making more power you will be able to gear up for more top end with out losing much down low. alot of people end up around 15/41. seems to be a good all around setup.
  4. only thing i have to add is pics? sounds like a interesting place to work!
  5. i run stock cages and boysen reeds. i am cheap
  6. i did add to one of your other dozen fucking threads and you didnt like my post. hell i even took the time to explain it to you and still got shit on. I honestly have no idea why this is happening. i think its something with how the stock carbs are built. my banshee with keihin carbs just sputters and dies when the filter gets wet. My turbo car has water injection. when i purge the feed lines the water has little to no effect on the afr as indicated on the wideband.( less than .2 change may be unrelated) and rpms stay steady until the engine loads up and then it sputters and the rpms will drop. I am spraying through a 7GPH nozzle at 200psi. arrogance? because i told him that something like "displacing octane" isnt possible? what have you added to this conversation?
  7. nothing in your post is even possible, so no.
  8. Most of us use the "View New Content" function so we will see your thread no matter where you post it.
  9. agreed. spend the money you save on something more useful to you. not to mention no o rings to deal with.
  10. diesel in the parts washer for greasy shit, then brake clean to rinse quickly or if you have some time use hot water and dish soap.
  11. when we say run it hard we dont mean go out and do a full on drag launch. once you are comfortable its solid open that bitch up.
  12. usps for out of country stuff. i sent my t5's to australia for $105 and they got there in just over a week. faster than some shit arrives in the fuckin' US.
  13. i also wouldnt spend money on a coolhead unless you had a specific need for one. thats a fair bit of money for the little to no gain you get.
  14. if you have to ask this question then apparently you havent made an attempt to find any info yourself.
  15. they do not cross over very well. you could measure the size of the orifice and that would give you the keihin jet size but thats not necessarily the one you will need. mikunis jet very differently than a keihin carb also.
  16. man thats shitty. i would think you could clean it up a bit and run it without any problems if there isnt any cracks.
  17. sounds like you need to look at your ignition system?
  18. www.jetsrus.com is a great place to order from.
  19. port it. then you can give out bike lengths.
