  1. awesome reponse. its nice to see someone actually explain why.
  2. with a bit of work and a tap they go right back on
  3. the dude is a fucking douche nozzle.
  4. if your ordered the stuff from partsdepotatv on ebay that is trinity. they probably couldnt sell anything if they used their real name.
  5. time. i was actually going to pull the engine out to replace a shift fork when i decided to do this since it was nice outside. It felt fine but could have wanted a bigger or smaller main, i dont know. I am at 140 mains and 45 pilots and the jetting is very close if not perfect with the r2's. I would really love to get some dune time with both pipes on the same day.
  6. new shaft is less than $80 from bikebandit.com
  7. I recently bought some original rockets and decided to run a comparison between them and the r2'si on my 'dune ported' stock stroke bike. Milled stock head, 28pwks, etc. No jetting changes Fitment and Design- Fitment of R2 pipes beats the rockets hands down. They clear the petcock unlike the rockets, are clear of your legs and line up to the mounts so much better. R2's have orings to seal the stingers while the rockets have the silicone couplers, probably personal preference here. Both would clear the air filters decent. Rockets have stainless stingers and a nice silencer design which is skinnier but longer than the r2's. The stingers also mount to the silencer can with bolts as opposed to the cheap rivets which need replaced on the r2 silencers after your first few rides. Stinger size is smaller at .835 on the rockets vs. 1.00 on the r2's. Power and Sound- They both come on about the same time but the rockets come on alot smoother and seem to have a "flatter" midrange, while the r2's come on hard. The both rev out roughly the same but the r2's seem to hold their power a bit longer while doing so. The rockets are alot quieter than the r2's and have alot different sound than the 'pop' of the r2's. I do have some helmet cam video i need to edit from this when i get the time. I would like to spend a bit more time with the rockets to get a feel for them to say for sure but based on what i found out here, i wouldnt go out of my way to find some rockets with the r2's available.
  8. depending on how bad it is it will range from fishing it out with a magnet to replacing the transmission shaft that it rides in. i have one here that someone hosed it bad enough the push rod is permanently welded inside the shaft. Either dont coast with the clutch pulled in or go to a pancake bearing setup.
  9. since you are sending off to be ported, go ahead and have him delete the reeds too.
  10. whats cheap? i have some 10in black labels with a blaster bolt pattern. also have some blaster hubs if needed...
  11. i have some and they work great but one of them leaks through the side wall. if you spray it with soapy water its bubble city. they also seem to weathercrack easily
  12. just passing on what matt shearer said...
  13. Disagree with me all you want with your theories and whatever. the DOT PHMSA says you are wrong and so does real world experience. i know what happens when you dump a couple hundred gallons of diesel into a tank full of gasoline at a fuel station. Its not pretty. Anyways I am done giving away any useful information. you know it alls can keep spreading bad information. kind of like "theres no octane booster that works". yep just keep believing that.
  14. make me a smoking deal on the inner hubs, pressure plates and a sprocket hub.
  15. i got name raped for making fun of locohomo
  16. ah i see. diesel itsnt flammable at all. really. it takes heat to make it burn. it is essentially an oil (fuel oil) and most oil has little to no octane resulting in detonation. and for the naysayers his obviously doesnt apply to 2stroke oil.
  17. man that is no good! glad you are in one piece though. boost is king!
  18. I mostly agree with you on the avgas...but... how would diesel stop it from melting down? if anything it would lower the octane of the gasoline and smoke like shit. some stuff probably wouldnt even run at all.
  19. no no and no. av gas is typically 100octane low lead. diesel doesnt have an "octane" jetfuel is kinda like fancy kerosene
