  1. Gonna have to try this after milling off the honda logo. ive ways hated the banshee thumb throttle.
  2. If you had the parts or found all of them together for cheap then i would consider it but to chase down all the parts i wouldnt even consider it.
  3. Plugs the water jacket around the exhaust port from where it was cast.
  4. http://www.moog-suspension-parts.com/Universal_Outer_Tie_Rod_Ends.asp
  5. Theres some really good info on here about how a carb works and tuning theory. Learn what makes them tick and it will be so much easier. Its like people who want to port their shit but refuse to learn the science behind it. I run pj carbs like trickedcarbine, arguably one of the hardest carbs to tune. First time on my new setup it took me 30 min to get it dune ready. Currently tweaking from there. If its sputting its rich. Surging or cutting out is lean. Put some ride time on it and check the plugs.
  6. They work on exhaust pressure so they will react to the load on the engine. if you are wfo they will react faster than if you are cruising easy. My 392 cheetah has power everywhere it seems like. if you are looking for the typical banshee powerband hit, you arent gonna find it with a powervalved engine without defeating the purpose of the valves.
  7. it is you that iis confuzzled, sir. Anything correctly ported does not involve a spacer plate. The piston comes out of the top of the cylinder 2mm, not 4. You are not correcting anything with a spacer plate. Port timings take into account the entire stroke not just their height so even with thethe plate they are still not optimal.
  8. Yes. I tried a few different ones from other quads before the trailtech amd all ended up as a fail. Either wouldnt charge worth a damn or died randomly. Ive had the trailtech on there for a couple years now.
  9. Thats pretty badass. Any pics of the build?
  10. You have to spend the time to tune the valves to match the engine. it will result in a nice smooth powerband.
  11. The longer rod lessens the angle of the rod mid stroke reducing the side load on the piston. The piston also accelerates/decelerates at a slower rate. While it is true that dwell is increased it has no particular effect on cylinder filling.
  12. The pin is offset 2 mm from stock. The piston goes up 2 more mm and down 2 more mm, thus 4 more mm of stroke.
  13. I thought running premium was common sense? Its not a weed wacker. hell even the 4pokes say to run premium.
  14. Twist throttle? His next post will be in rides of shame...
  15. Mine pushed the silencer out of the way at some point yesterday. probably when i dropped in off a razorback.
  16. No hangers. Guess im gonna have to overhaul the link mount on the swing arm.
  17. I have been known to troll the town drunks around here. Makes for a good laugh.
  18. Get out your wallet. My ported stock cyl would drag the dudebros down the strip.
  19. Ever had problems with the brake caliper hitting the silencer? My +4 hits pretty bad.
  20. If you cant dazzle them with knowledge baffle them with bullshit.
  21. Open both bleeders and pump until you see fluid. Close one bleeder and let gravity do its thing. Keep the master cylinder full. After 5 minites close that bleeder amd open the other one. Profit.
  22. The cases are machined as a matched set. Running mismatched sets is certain to cause problems if you even get it assembled.
