    I used to then i got smart HOWEVER they are not fool proof if you dont know how it works and how to read what it tells you. I ama huge fan of the aem unit. Never a fuckin problem unlike the innovate junk. Its been in 2 cars including one that occasionally does daily driver duties for the last 5 years.

    From a car perspective you cant tune by detonation as the margin for error is very little at high power to displacement levels. The power happens fast and violent.

    Few years ago i ran an unwelded stock crank with ported cylinders for a season due to running out of time/money after a local shop fucked up boring some cylinders twice and i had to replace them. I trued it up and beat it like it owed me money. Pulled it out and it was out .008 or more on the pto side if i remember right. This was on a 50 or so hp bike.

    My .02 A milled stock head is only worthwhile on an unported cylinder. Remember the dome design is 25+ years old. Max is .025 to .030. A squish test before hand will tell. Now a rechambered head is worthwhile. It is my preference on a stock cylinder. No fuckin orings. Mull engineering did mine for about a 100 bucks.
