  2. the trinity head was on the bike when i bought it. if i were to buy one i would buy a noss, cant beat the price!
  3. you are right on the hard to find part, most people throw them away, mine is in my misc atv shit box
  4. what is it about a 400ex that makes it so slow? i watched a loud mouth on one with cams and a 440 kit get walked on by a decently modded blaster and lightly modded banshees earlier this summer the thing looked like it had power when he took off but it was just damn slow
  5. what is your price range? you can pm me if you want. i might have some for you!
  6. email pics to u.canot.b.serios@gmail.com dibs pending pics. do you have paypal?
  7. they are out there. i average only 1 thing a month off ebay usually. i just watch and wait till i run across something. ive been looking for 2 months for domes.
  8. I had almost given up hope and sold the trinity head for a noss one because i didnt want to spend 60 a piece + shipping for 18cc or 19cc domes when i could get a whole used noss head for 175 or so off ebay . Well tonight i happened to be surfing ebay for stuff i cant afford and i ran across these, needless to say they are on their way to me! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...379995&rd=1
  9. really? i though the white and black was the only color offered? ive never seen a blue 2001.
  10. I would drain the carbs after each ride if it is going to set for a week or more. i dont think the extreme flush would be necessary as it is with methanol. if it is to set for more than a month i would drain the tank too i think. It is however a very good solvent. i went through 3 fuel filters on my turbocar when i converted. that tank musta been purdy inside!
  11. I dont know if you will see a power gain like you will with meth, but it will allow you to push it farther. E85 is pretty common where i live making it a viable option for me, where as methanol is harder to get ahold of. treat e85 more like race gas in the basic sense of more octane=push it farther before it goes pop! www.e85refueling.com will tell you if there is a station near by.
  12. if its purple you might look into having a doctor look at that
  13. when i worked at autozone, we sold massive amounts of those damn tornados. especially to hispanics. we even offered a money back guarantee and never had one returned. they must have mind control powers too! I did a project for my highschool shop class back when they first came out and just from my primitive setup using the intake and throttlebody from an 86 mustang, it was clear that after the tornado'd air went around a bend and through the thottle plate, there was no moar tornado
  14. theoretically yes but im not saying for sure as i have not done it, i plan to with my banshee pretty soon. Figure on 30% more fuel when jetting. and lean from there. it burns very cool compared to gas so you may see good results with more timing than usual. this was my experience with it. You can get away with running it 'fat' with fewer side effects than gas. a 2 stroke may be different. MY experience with it was with a fuel injected turbo charged engine and the results were very impressive. 105 octane for $2.50 a gallon (here anyway) shit yea sign me up. if you google around a bit, especially on forced induction specific sites such as turboford.org, people are doing impressive things with e85.
  15. I agree. Obviously in your case you want something that runs decent but if i ran across a decent one for 1800 i would buy it even if the motor was shot.
  16. how much for the red tank plastic and radiator shroud? Shipping would be to 68601. trade for my black ones?
  17. i bookmarked it awhile back when they had a history of the banshee thing. on the main page.
  18. have a look here http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/banshee/color.aspx yea they really had some wierd ass colors, i would like to have one or 2 just for the shock factor.
  19. thats about what it is around here depending on where you go.
  20. i own and run both a set of sand stars and and a set of skat traks. the skat traks hook harder. steering is about the same as far as i care. the skat traks produce less dust but the sand stars are easier on your ass on harder ground. i wouldnt get caught up in the whole being able to steer thing. I do a bit of dragging. mostly fun riding through. PS: phxrider, nice 2001
  21. I have a permanent scar on my left leg. usually i wear jeans but sometimes on quick rides i dont. you would think i would learn after awhile, lol! heres a pic of my most recent burn from a week and a half ago.
  22. i use the rev and dump to keep the rpms up too. My clutch hates me
  23. You are probably used to a 4 stroke where the power is always 'there' per say. You need to ride higher in the rpms to stay in the powerband. i ride around just below it and when i want to go i just downshift and hammer on it, viola power! other wise diring spirited riding you will have to figure out where your up shift and down shift points are in each gear to keep it under power. I have a few friends that hate 2 strokes simply because they actually have to ride the bike and 'do work' where as riding a 4 stroke to me fool proof. dont get me wrong my cousins yfz450 is fast but it doent give me the power thrill my banshee does.
