  1. this is getting wierder by the minute. i just took it down the alley, ran perfect. yanked the front wheels up and everything. im fucking lost. i know 160 is way too rich now. but those are the only jets i could get at the time. its about 30 degrees colder than when i usually ride it. im thinking of putting the 140s in and raising the needle. i dunno if i will beable to get 145s tomorrow. i will see i spose.
  2. i remember hearing a soft cracking sound when i tried to get the flywheel off. the PO stripped the threads leaving me with very few options.
  3. i checked and adjusted it to no avail.
  4. jetting was at 140 which from what i read was too lean. i put a 160 in it and its a bit better but not much.
  5. after my failed attempts to remove the flywheel i said the hell with it and put it all back together to ge ready for this weekend. took it for a test spin and aobut half way through the power band it cuts out and pops through the exhaust, also does it if you free rev it . the rest of the time it runs like shit and wont idle. i was thinking i possible cracked a magnent but they look fine from what i can see. It is about 20 degrees cooler out than when i last rode it. would this cause it to be too lean and cut out? i am going out now to check on what jets are in it, what size should i go up to?
  6. it will be a close race i think, those 700 raptors run hard.
  7. what is the difference between fuel pump carbs and standard gravity fed carbs?

    torque

hey its not like i get along with my family anyways!
  10. im with what they said but i have used boosters in a pinch on my old turbo mustang with results (last minute grudge races ) torco is probably the best and is well known. for something local, 104 octane boost (orange crap) or a couple bottles of outlaw octane boost (blue/black bottle) i dunno if i would trust them in a 2 stroke. i would dump them in a 1/4 tank of gas and hope for the best. is e85 available to you? that would be an option since its 105 octane but it requires purging similar to methanol.
  11. the best way i havee heard it described is pebbles in a coffee can, which is pretty accurate from my experience with my turbo car. i find it very hard to hear on a 2 stroke too which is why i spend the extra on good gas and such.
  12. i have never read anything good about them.
  13. the air filter is a restriction, however small, and affects jetting.
  14. if your doing your test runs with no air filter, there could be your problem. mine falls on its face with no air filter when it its the powerband.
  15. hell i would have taken one for $10+ shipping or even 15 shipped. let me know when its ready and ill get one from ya. though im sure there will be a big post about it.
  16. Its My Twin! bump for a good deal. Less than i paid for my '01.
  17. my old blaster could do that. scared the shit out of me the first time it did it and i dropped the hammer, it wasnt pretty. i did it a couple times after that just to prove i could, lol. i am not about to try it on my banshee
  18. im impressed with how much it smoothed out going up 2 degrees. i would like to see some charts from +0 to +8 or so in 2 degree increments to see where the power falls off as you go higher.
  19. slime works for the bead but your have to start out with a clean bead on the first place. i run it in my front tires as i always had problems with sand getting in the beads from turning sharp and slow in thick sand. i dont have near the problems i did. it does take a bit of creativity to keep from making a mess when i do have to clean out the beads.
  20. Yea its wierd for sure, but amazingly enough i feel a million times better after this, gotta get the shit out of the stomach apparently. i can do it on command now when i wake up and feel like shit.
  21. I wear jeans and dont have a problem but i have torched myself pretty good and have part of the V from my trinity pipes branded into my leg when i did wear shorts
  22. i have never seen a mod-quad head, so i cant confirm that but yes just the domes are removable. 2 orings on each dome (top and bottom) and 3 on the head itself.
