  1. The bike has all the bolt-ons and is getting ported this winter, probably by jeff. I was just curious as to my options and you guys answered all of them. guess the 4mil will come next winter!
  2. mine is cracked in all 3 holes, its on the to do list :ermm:
  3. 927 and leaded race gas, it dont get much better than that! or if you play the 'other' game, you could try the fruity smelling stuff
  4. ive been searching a bit on this subject. are actually blaster pistons used or just similar sized ones? ive have also read that you need domes matched to them, true? does someone make a similar sized piston so i dont have to get new domes? i am looking to add a little displacement without splitting the cases this winter. is it a viable option to run bigger pistons and still have room for rebuilds? if i were to run blaster pistons (or other over sized pistons for that matter) what would the new displacement be?
  5. yes mine does it in the midrange only. its random too, it doesnt always do it
  6. i think the 2n1 would really choke it
  7. mine does it too. its random. cant figure it out for the life of me.
  8. awesome news! i pity the poor bastard that either tries or steals my shit. my defense? temp insanity due to bi polar disorder (which runs in my family).
  9. mine are the idoits who insist on riding in the camping/unloading area...there is several square miles of sand and you insist on leaving a layer of dust on my nicely cooked hamburger.... you have to have a 450 to be fast, specially a yfz. 2 strokes DO NOT need to be rebuilt once a month. your 4 stroke with a straight pipe sounds like shit, go away i dont care how much you have in your 400ex, you lost And no, you cant ride it, seriously.... i didnt work my ass off for it to watch you fck it up...
  10. you can replace just the studs in the hub. they are press fit from the back and you should be able to tap them out with a punch and hammer. most atv shops have them in stock.
  11. i run my razr's in the sand with straight paddles and its not the best but it works, especially if i want to hit the dirt trails with the 4pokes. i keep them air'd up nice and hard.
  12. might want to check the dates
  13. i am thinking of going fenderless for '08. i am removing the back ones completely and am looking for either cut fronts or aftermartket fenderless ones. looking for white but will entertain colors that go with black tank plastic and a blue frame. this way i can go back to fenders if i so choose.
  14. i use mine all the time. i you even get a 10% discount off your next order by email.
  15. the guy is somewhat (same area) local to me. pretty popular around here and knows his stuff. he has helped me on a few small issues in the past over the phone. here is the link again. http://www.gassrx.com/ if it still doesnt work, google gassrx
  16. it went pretty good. we went friday and left saturday night because sunday was cold and windy. lots of mud at first but the entrance dried out pretty good. the owner is great. he was charging 40 for pulls i think and he was going to do 4 for me with wideband (2 pulls a cylinder) before my roller let loose.
  17. Well with the close of the season here its time for a port. Right now, unported, it has a decent midrage with a wicked top end. it works well but i want something with a bit broader midrange with that same 'endless' top end. you know a good play port but still be able to go out and was some ass on the strip.. its alot to ask but that type of port would suit my needs best? what specific things do i need to ask about or ask for? GassRX ( http://www.gassrx.com/) will be handling the porting.
  18. if it is louder then its probably too late to do anything about it anyways
  19. part of the problem was a loose pilot jet in the carb which i fixed before the jamboree It also seems that the Super M (couldnt get anything else one of the last times i went riding) oil i was using in that last tank of gas was to blame too because when it was cool out and running super m it missed and ran like shit in the mid range. On castor 927 it did not miss no matter the temp, plugs were perfect. I also got a chance to dyno it. Put down something like 43hp and 40ft-lb of torque. not bad i suppose for a unported banshee. AFR was lean at idle, rich in the midrange and perfect on the topend. For those of you in NE, Advanced Motorsports in Aurora is awesome. they had their dyno at the jamboree. Only casualty was the lower chain roller that let go at WOT in 5th. that was interesting. The miss is interesting to say the least. if i can get it to pull through it, it screams on the top end. sometimes letting it 'cool down' even though its not hot helps.
