rather than comparing e85 to methanol, think of it as cheap 115 octane race fuel.

most 2 stroke diesels use a 'supercharger' to fill the cylinders. it is a roots positive displacement type. it does not however produce measurable pressure or boost. it simply fills the cylinders since it cant pull the charge into the crankcase like most gas 2 strokes. a turbo does have some parasitic pumping loss because it is a restriction in the exhaust but nothing compared to the loss of a supercharger. for an extreme example a modern hemi does not make enough power to turn the super charger of a top fuel dragster at full throttle. but at their power levels it doesnt matter much. thats a topic for another thread. i have built a few turbo vehicles including 2 turbo 2.3 mustangs, a twin turbo 5.0 mustang that made just over 400 hp on a low boost tune. that motor has been ripped out for plans of something else of with 'un-natural' induction. my daily driver is a Merkur xr4ti with the turbo 2.3. 24psi and alcohol injection makes for fun.

i would start out with a 40% larger jet and test the waters. then play with the pilot. converting my banshee to e85 is on my list of shit to do but i have a few other projects to do first.

how well does that wastegate location control boost? seems like it would creep with it coming off the runner rather than the collector.

i just used bix paint stripper. worked fine for me.ill have to look into this shit though.

definately straight paddles. the couple times ive gone i just had sand stars and the sand is so fine theres no traction.

i have in my turbo cars with great results. i am thinking of trying it real soon since its real easy to get here.

instead of digging yourself a deeper hole why dont you google how turbos work. because they do work. riding in a turbocharged car is like riding a 2 stroke.

detonation and preignition are 2 different things.

The front shocks came off my 01. i went with a yfz conversion. they are still good and not blown. white with the normal rock chips. $40 plus the ride. also have the lower a arms painted silver. the ball joints move freely but they are not loose. be good for someone looking just to get theres back on the road. $30obo + shipping. the only trades im looking for is pods and outerwares or white race cut front plastic. thanks

clutch chatter is when the clutch kinda 'shakes' and possibly makes noise when being released. mine did this when i broke a couple friction plates. in a car with a multi-puck clutch its normal.

i have a pair of lowers. the ball joints move freely with a bit a resistance but i dont recall them being loose in anyway. ill double check. they are painted silver. say $40 + shipping. prefer to sell them both as one wont do most people any good. shoot me a pm with an offer.

Looking to trade my trinity pipes for something with more of a mid range. these things really rip top range but unfortunately i only go to the dunes a couple times a year and every other place i ride, i would benefit from different pipes. i am looking for t5's, pro circuit platinums or a set of paul turner mids ( i would throw in cash obviously) the pipes are all stainless with billet aluminum silencers. they have some pitting on the silencers from rocks. the silencers are hollow as the core and packing blew up and i have not gotten around to ordering new cores from trinity. i have done business with people on here and my ebay id is Coupelx if you need feedack. also might consider purchasing a set of pipes outright and selling mine outright.I am looking for 325obo.
