i havent changed my sig but i went to t5's. but i have ridden bikes with PT highs, cpi's, pro circuits and a few others and all were better than the trinitys. according to trinity they were made for their 421 motor.
i usually clean the bars off with brake cleaner and then spray a little inside the grip. slide it on right away and work any air out. this doesnt work with the crappy gel grips like the tag grips. it worked great on the sunlines on my quad and pro tapers on my bike.
i talked to a guy from trinity and they were apparently designed for trinity 4mil (?) motor. i did not like the way mine performed on my stock bore/stroke. the t5's have way more low end and still pull up top. the trinity's have a very narrow powerband in my opinion
bad ass looking bike.
a suggestion on the paint- try an automotive grade paint with a flattener and flex agent. probably cost aroud $100 for everything.
I also run 2 full quarts of atf and recently had everything apart and the pushrod and ball look perfect. no more false neutrals on the stock transmission. the type F does seem to get dirty faster but at $2.50 a quart its cheap to change.
i dont know if it just evaporates faster than other fuels but sometimes the oil would puddle in the bowl of the carb if it sat for a week or 2. i run it with no problems.
when i worked at an atv shop we got banshees in for repair that were 10 years old ands beat to hell and just getting their first top end. good oil and jetting and it will run a long time.
anyone know what yamaha says to rebuild the 450 at? its a stupidly low number of hours.
I new to mikunis as every bike i have owned had a keihin on it so here it goes. i need a starting point for the mains and pilots.
athena 392cc cylinders and head-factory ports
stock stroke
mikuni 34mm flatslides
cpi out of frame pipes
pods
vforce reeds
thanks.
