NJ: Quarrey By Chatsworth
Michael Jackson replied to 4strokessuck's topic in Riding and Events Forum
if you guys are from nj/pa/ny, and are into trail riding, i think it would be extremely hard to beat the riding up in treverton/shamokin and the surrounding areas. you can never run outa trails in a lifetime, and its well worth the drive, i used to go to illegal places all around new jersey too, and it just got old, tired of runnin, tired of lookin over my shoulder, if you guys wana set somethin up sometime, we should make a trip out to PA, you wont regret it, and you will just want to go back every weekend, trust me..place is fuckin amazing.. i drive 2 hours to go there, and its WELL worth it, if i had to drive 4, id still do it without even thinking twice -
glad to hear you got that mix up fixed wacko and yea, cutting is never the way to solve things, you shouldnt have to cut a product you just payed hundreds of dollars for thats suposed to be custom made for your machine

looking for someone in ny/nj/pa/ct
Michael Jackson replied to Ryda85's topic in General Banshee Discussion
id be happy to finish her off for you, my rate is $1000 an hour though... but i am meticulous and very clean when i work on things -
yea extended swinger for hill shooting is definatly a good idea, but for everyday riding, its pointless where do you buy those super swampers anyway man?
-
i would have to guess the +4 swinger is completely pointless on your banshee, its probaly not doin anything but hurting your traction and adding weight, no reason to have such a long swinger with just those mods... am i wrong?
-
powdercoat is your best bet... paint can be durable but only if sprayed on right, with the right tools, like a real paint gun, but itll never be as tough as a good powdercoat. im sure itll cost you some $$ though
-
yep same shit with mine, at first i thought i didnt have the castle nuts tight, then i relized i was an idiot and that wouldnt have anything to do with the hubs moving fowards and backwards, metal on metal, its gona wear eventually, i figure ill just get a nice new axle with billet hubs and shit next season

New chain feels too short
Michael Jackson replied to huskyohilux's topic in General Banshee Discussion
shouldnt a banshee chain be 107 link? -
theres plenty in one bottle to fill up the banshee, youll have more than 1/4 bottle left over at least, make sure you flush out all the old coolant from your cylinderrs first though

Michael Jackson replied to 202banshee's topic in Product Reviews

both of their stock shocks suck ass, the raptors are longer though, my friend has a raptor 700 with 450 shocks on it, they bolted right up, but the stock raptor shocks are longer than the stock banshee shocks, so your banshee front end will sit up higher
-
pizza hut? are u kiding me... we have like 20 pizzarias per square mile, this is new jersey bitches
-
honestly if its real tight woods racing, youd probably be better off on a 450 than a banshee

you gona mess up the threads with vice grips to do the top ones, put a floor jack under it wioth a towel or somethin over it so it dont mess up threads, and jack it up on the ball joint so all the pressure is on the balljoint then tighten it with a wrench, same with the bottom,. just jack them up from under so the pressure is is on the balljoint and spindle should hold it still while u tighten nuts, also try all the different nuts on each balljoint by hand first, sometimes you can just switch them around a few times till you find ones that fit better together, make sure all the thrteads are clean first too
-
if your tie rods are almost 2 inches longer than mine, and we both have +2 arms, i would guess the tie rods are the wrong ones... ask some more guys for mesurments, but 2 inches longer on each one is alot... by the way, you staten island bitches dont know anything about a good strombolli!! if you ever want some real pizza/strombolli come to jersey
-
yea its just about 13" ,just the tie rod, i think you have the wrong tie rods..?
-
hey, just measured my tie rods from the +2 armadillos a arms, they are about 12 3/4"-13"
-
the tie rods and ends are reverse threaded so when you spinthem one way it sucks both ends in and toes it out and when you spin them the other way it pushes both ends out and toes in,,, i never mesured any of my shit, just did it by eye, takes alot of trial and error, i rode it a few times and kept adjusting the tie rods untill i liked how it handled as far as the steering stem hittin the stop one way and not the other... the only thing i could think of is your steering stem is twisted, not bent, or yoor stop isnt straight, thats what happend to me, after a couple flips and pairs of bars, it bent the stop out on the bottom, so the bars were turning to far and the inside of the wheel was hittin my a arms skid plate, i hammered that stop back straight by eye, and it fixed the problem, now it hits stop before it hits the a arms, or maybe you have one side adjusted a little different too, and its a combination of a fw things being out of line , steering stem, stop, tie rods, takes some playing with untill you get them set up right how u want em, and since you got the fully adjustable ones with all the heim joints i bet they are evebn more of a bitch to set up huh?
-
yea that is a good warrenty, but i didnt want heim joints, i had ordered a set of fullflight arms with the works shocks, then emailed the guy and cenceled the a-arms off him after reading bad reveiews from people, so i had the shocks sittin there and needed -arms quick, i saw these armadillos with skid plates and my mind was made up.. $550 it was ffor them , with skidplates , all chromoly , tough to beat.never said i didnt liek ASR< i have no experience with them, i was just giving that guy some feedback in the other post , so i googled it cause i knoiw i read about them on Everything2stroke in the past. what didnt you like about the armadillos that made you switch to asr? one of the main selling points for me was the skidplates ! , i havnt seen any others offering skid plates to go with their arms, you think companies would relize the vast majority of us are trail riding and similar stuff and want skidplates, its not like they are hard to make, eveyrone should offer em i think
-
ahah no way, I WISH!!, if i had that sweet of a front end though, id have to have custom skid plates made for it, i couldnt imagine bangin through the trails with $2600 of front end hittin rocks and coal and shit.. i run armadillo +2+1's with works triple rates w/remote rez's, only cost me about $1100 WITH the skidplates for the a arms too, love it, great to have skids on the trails
-
ouch, im gona go crawl up in a ball and die now... sorry and no i ddint read the whole post.. just thought $25 to ship shocks was alot of money.. relax man
-

Transporting upright in truck bed?
Michael Jackson replied to bonzai272's topic in General Banshee Discussion
i had mine up the other weekend, i put a couple thick moving blankets down on the roof of my f150, and put mine leaning onto it with the front tires resting on the blankets, then leave tail gate open and put another one in flat behind mine, theres enough room to move the flat one back so that the one up front leaning up isnt striaght up and down, its like 60 degree angle if u know what i mean, and i pop my air filter off first so all the gas draining out of the carbs leaks into the airbox and not soaking into the air filter
