  1. a ltr450 smoked a 421 cub? where were they riding, mars?
  2. ok, enough of that we are only joking.. its just an old joke about "powerbands"... stemming from idiots asking "does your banshee have a powerband" every quad/car/dirtbike,ect has a powerband, its just the rpm range in which the motor makes its peak power
  3. yes , im sure they are very quick, and obviously will have more torque than your banshee, if you dont get a good launch you will be playing catch up, anyway.. these threads never make any sense,... how are we supposed to predict whats gona happen? he could spin.. you could spin.. one person could miss a gear, ect ect... just race
  4. that all depends on what color power band you have on your banshee... if you have a black one, yea, you should smoke him but if you have an older blue one, it should be close
  5. theres alot of people on here from PA i live like 15 east of PA border in jersey
  6. says they make tube swingers and ladder bar swingers?? and yea i saw they chagr eextra for skid plate mounts ( which is a must of course)
  7. anyone ever try one of these? i dont think its possible to beat this price... that INCLUDES the billet carrier in chice of color! http://cgi.ebay.ca/CUSTOM-4130-CHROMOLY-YA...4QQcmdZViewItem
  8. yea i ditched that chain, it wasnt gona stretch enough to get my chain roller back on,so i just got a new one this season.. stupid shit,
  9. "Cross over tube ports on intake manifolds have been plugged for max performance" ive never heard of doing that before? wat are they plugged with? does anyone else do this..
  10. yea thats what im talkin about, my last chain last year, was too loose even with me sittin on it , it was loose, so i took a link out , moved it forward and then it was so dam tight i had to take the lower chain roller off just to get it on, how much more adjustment do these round house carriers offer?
  11. fuckin A, i dont have any "trail mods".. and i love my banshee properly jetted there should be no 'lowend bog" like alot of people talk about, obvisouly its not gona have the instant torque ofd a 450, but it shouldnt bog by any means either, anwyhere , when i hit the gas, it goes, i love it... front suspension and tires are the first things id do after a set of pipes and air filter
  12. wow maybe it is what im smokin on.... i didnt know you were suposed to have the rear end totally bottomed out when checking chain slack...i always set my slack with it just sittin there.... how do you go about bottoming it out? even with my ass sittin on the grrab bar at 230+ pounds it wont bottom out unless i jump up and down on it
  13. i seem to always be right on borderline with chain adjustment, its either too lose when all the way back, but not loose enough to move it all the way forward and knock a link out... this has nothin to do with what im smokin.. :geek:
  14. the age old debate.. im sure this is sure to stir up a few fights!! id like to hear from people who have ridden all, or more than 1 brand.. i hate all the people who went from stock shit shocks to $1600 elkas and swears by elka now because they are better than stock..i dont like the name game, just like i would never buy a BMW for the BlackMansWish badge, i would never buy elka for the ELKA stickers on them.. lets hear some facts and comparisons
  15. aha yea i was gona say the same thing myself.. shorter swinger = more traction/easier wheelies, you wont be as high off the ground while you are in wheelie, the balance ppoint will just chnage and take a little getting used to
  16. i dont want a stock carrier swinger, stock carriers blow, no chain adjustment, shitty bearings, and weigh like 10 pounds, old backwards hick technology , i could have designed a better chain adjustment than that myself, haha im not buying one now, i am just getting ideas, so far its hard to beat the one savage420 sent me a while ago on E2s, i deletd the message though and cant find the link, ill have to pm him and get it from him and show u guys and see if anyone has any expeiornece with them
  17. look a little closer zach, thats bare, and without the carrier, carrier is $180 more, than gota get it p coated too i like how they offer all the style housings though
  18. he is right.... 450s already have many things the banshee lacks...suspension geometry, decent shocks, lots of torque... but i love my banshee, id never get rid of it, and i ride trails, but i wouldnt mind having a 450 as well
  19. thanks for the replies, ill check them all out and as far as round house style goes, do they usually come with the carrier too?
  20. lets see some pics of everyones aftermarket swingarms - what kind, and what you payed for it, whats it made out of ect.. should have said, -1 or -2's, also, not intrested in extended ones , unless that company makes shorter ones as well
  21. well said brother chris! preach on! even if the twin500 was only 60 hp and they built it, it would be a sweet ride, but NOT A BANSHEE!!!!!!
