  1. dont nreally know anything about them, but im gona have to say, no, get rid of the FMF's they are probably holding you back reed spacers are normally used so the bowls on larger carbs will clear the clutch arm on the case and if you lose to a 450r on that thing, sell it, and get a 300 ex
  2. of course you will have to bump your mains up when opening the air box up,i never implied you wouldnt, but thats assuming it wasnt already rich, only you can be the judge of that, 300 just sounds rich for a pipped banshee with the lid still on the airbox, pilot you shouldnt have to touch edit - yes also need to fatten up jetting for the winter, i run a 280 in the summer and 300 in the winter on a piped shee with no lid, im at sea level about , i just dont see how with the lid still on you are running the same size main jets in the summer, that i am running in the winter and i have no airbox lid
  3. you will love just those mods man, a good pipe like the t5 and a k&n wakes the motor up alot, not to mention you will lose close to 10 pounds of weight after you get those stock pipes/boat anchors off there
  4. sweet,so what compression you gona bump it up to? you said your gona get it ported too? bet itll have torque like a fuckin big block..
  5. haha so your 3 momd raptor just turned into a 5 mod raptor real quick, haha, bored throttle body and dynatek ignition
  6. yep ive noticed that, they love to be lugged and short shifted, no matter how bad u lug them they will pull right through it and pull the front end up at low rpm, pretty cool, but yea your right the power falls off substantially in topendd, i guess you couldnt find 2 more totaly opposite sport quads, its pretty funny some of the stories you read on here about piped banshees killing piped 450s and 700's by 10 lengths and shit like that... if thats the case,it was the riders dumb ass who lost the race, not the bike's
  7. i would try 300 mains, stock pilots and needle on 4th clip down on a piped banshee, open airbox, at sea level, 300 must have been rich with the airbox lid still on and 300 mains, no air gets in with those stupid lids on, either way of course you will need more fuel with the aluminum air box cause it has no lid, huge difference
  8. yea the 700s run great as well, ive ridden a couple of them quite a few times, they got a shitload of torque all over the place, you can just lug them around a gear hjigher and poke ther throttle and the front end will still come up.. as far as your 3 mod raptor kicking your piped banshees ass all day long, does your banshee have a boo-boo?, i have a friend with a "3 mod" 700 and we ride all the time and he cant pull a foot on my piped banshee unless maybe if we raced in loose dirt from a dead stop..but they defintly get the power to the ground out of the hole alot better, which goes without saying, if i could own a second quad i think it would be the 700, the 450s are a little cramped for me, although i have only ridden the honda and yama so i cant speek for all of em especially with all the new ones now, and that ktm 525 sounds like its gona be fuckin bad ass, but out of what ive ridden, id take a 700 in a second, they still need to be widended out though, my friend has his +2's and lonestar axle, very nice machine, i think too many banshee die hards think 400ex when they think of 4 strokes and they dont even give these new ones a chance, they just bash them no matter what
  9. talk to raguncajun, i think he is selling his whole YFZ front end , shocks, arms, ect, ready to mount, for like $350 shipped
  10. then go with another brand, theres lots of brands out there that make well priced chromoly a arms, dont spend money for cheap shit steel aftermarket a arms. if your gona spend the cash, get the goods
  11. why dont you get the chromolly ones like zach got, just without all the adjustment if you dont want it
  12. every problem in my life disappears as i shift into 4th gear...nothing like it. id be lost without it!! ps: ho ho ho
  13. #1 Tito ortiz - no respect for one of the main guys responsible for bringing UFC to mainstream(shamrock) and giving bums like tito a chance to fight for big money. hes too cocky and thought he was a bad ass beatin up on a 42 year old man.. chuck put him in his place..his head and neck are very disproportional to his body. and hes an idiot to boot, just listen to him back on the old season of the tv show when him and shamrock were coaches, tryin to talk shit to shamrock,, he couldnt even put one insult/sentence together that made any sense #2 tank abbot - i used to like him and watching him fight because he is a slugger, but he has no skill, no respect for anyone, he acts like a baby when he would lose and walks outa the ring, flicks people off, talks shit after gettin submitted, hes a punk. #3 tim sylvia - talk about a talentless goon... if he wasnt 6'8 275 pounds he wouldnt be there, period. hes come up with a couple good punches and a few knockout kicks in his time, but hes pretty goofy and uncoordinated, and not nearly as powerful as he should be for that size, he needs to get in shape like the rest of the guys in there cant think of anymore
  14. i was only fuckin around man, dont hate me $600 is alot of money for a-arms and tie rods and nothing else, theres alot better options on the market to go with that are just as good quality at alot lower price than those HDUSA
  15. no, dont get what MJ has, just becase he has them, think what about you want, as far as balljoints vs heim joints, fully adjustable or not, how wide, amount of money your lookin to spend, and go from there. dont just open up rocky mountain , find the most expensive ones, and buy em
  16. amen to that. i think most of the people who bash 450's havnt even ridden one.
  17. $600 for some a-arms and tie rods... not even some ss brake lines?? they better suck your dick for that much money..
  18. same bullshit as imports vs muscle cars... everyone has their preference, and the battles will go on forever... but we all know in the end, the older muscle cars prevail , as do the 2 strokes haha
  19. sorry, i stand corrected, but tightening the spring preload is a pretty shitty way to make it sit higher, ive done the same thing and it just makes the suspension very stiff and unforgiving and wasnt even using the whole stroke which is pointless, i had like 4-5 inches of rough travel beatin the shit outa my back, not to mention even worse traction than before
  20. you can always flip the stock rear rims around and they line up about dead even with a +2 front end on a stock axle
