  1. lot of threads about this you gota cut some off the lower arm mounts, make/add spacers, the geometry will be a little messed up, but itll be wider..and lower the videos you have seen of ddq jumpin im 99% sure he had 450 shocks on stock banshee a-arms, once u put those 450 arms on there it sits real low
  2. this has got to be the gayest thread in the history of 4 wheeler forums.. "lets see how tan and jacked you are" hahahah little man syndrome all the way! funny shit
  3. i use a wine cork for my hole, i blasted that little rubber nipple off with a power washer years ago and how can they call it a powerlid ? take the damn lid off... it costs nothing and flows more air!
  4. id get 20 inch razr's or razr 2's for rears, both great tires and tough as hell for fronts id go with 22 inch razr 2's or holeshot gncc's
  5. the next step up from stock (25) is 27.5, then 30, ect you gota take your carbs about first, check out your main jet, pilot and where your needle clip is that, and then someone can help you! untill then we will continue to guess and not be of much good to you! sorry
  6. yep, it think tghese big pipe companies need to check their info out and test it on these machines they are recommending i think DMC recommend 30 pilots and 340 mains or something like that? who writes this crap, seriously
  7. a bigger pilot jet is not needed for a stock banshee with a set of t5's , especially one with the air box lid still on and a stock air filter, but whatever floats your boat, go for it
  8. his banshee is boggin off idle and your tellin him to put BIGGER pilots in? leave the stock pilots in there if you followed toomeys jetting directions its gona be rich,at least i know mine was, especially if you still have your air box lid on, ( is it? ) even with my lid off and a k%n ,i find their needle to be too rich on the 4th clip like they recommend, i run mine on the 3rd down from blunt end,and it really cleand up the bottom end and when you mean bogs.. do you actually ride it, is it hitting powerband eventually afetr it gets through the bog? or is it unrideable and just bogs and dies?
  9. haha not those mountains of coal, those dont count as trails! i spend 90% of my day riding the backwoods trails all through the hills there, i got stock swinger and little tires, total opposite of your guys hill monsters, if i was doing alot of hillshooting id want a longer swinger too
  10. \ did u just say you run your banshee with no air filter, just a k&n powerlid.....? youd be surprised how much better the bottom end is on a correctly jetted banshee compared to a rich one, too many people follow the instructions that come with their pipes or that the idiot ont he phone from the pipe company tells them and end up pig rich wondering why theres no lowend and then convince themselves thats how a banshee is supposed to be, its no raptor 700 torquemonster, but it shouldnt bog at all, banshees are snappy as hell
  11. bias bunch of bitches at dirt wheels, they print so much false shit i canceled my subscription last year, they are just a tool for the big companies to use in advertising, nice to see a banshee in there for once though 450 , 450, 450, raptor 700, 450 , 450, 450, rhino, 450, 450, 4x4, that about sums up their magazine
  12. learn how to ride and how to shift your weight around, dont get a longer swinger for riding trrails. whats done to the bike anyway? if an inexperienced rider hops on a 400ex, the thing is gona wheelie everywhere too, untill you learn how to ride, where to sit, ect, you can sit on the back of the seat on a stock banshee, and it will wheelie everywhere if u have no control
  13. damn i would have never guessed yours was that old, i never even noticed the J arms either way, ita sweet ride, its come a long way since the old yellow tow rope pics with the cop car int he background
  14. id go take a look at some of these hills in person before you say all that and you guys out there in the sticks get raped on gas, (not that we all arnt) but everytime we go up there, i notice your gas is about 30 cents a gallon higher than we pay here in jersey
  15. exactly, those arms are designed for a yfz frame, the front end geometry is obvisouly nowhere near the same on the banshee, although ive never seen a 450 front end on a banshee with that much camber in, some camber is good, helps cornering, but thats just too much, somethin aint right there
  16. youd be surprised how much faster a properly tuned piped banshee is than one that the jetting is bastardized and the carbs are out of sync, my piped banshee outright smokes my friends piped shee, i dont know about lengths but im sure i could put at least 6 lengths on him by 6th gear and he weighs about 60 pounds less - in the wrong hands a banshee is a real POS, you probably see more sick, shitty running ones than out on the trails, than nice ones, not taking anything away from the yfz's but they are easy to ride fast, a banshee takes a rider with a clue to be fast
  17. 30 pilot is huge, especially with an air box lid still on same thing for a 300+ main with an air box lid still on, especially in the summer you are the only one who can ride it though, so only you can really know how its running
  18. can someone tell me how to hit 100 foot gaps while your at? u gota go out and ride and practice, thats how banshee is about the worst quad to be riding if your into riding long balance wheelies, those 450s and craptor 660's are so much easier
  19. remember to follow the parking break sensor wire from the perch, down about a foot or so, and unplug it, big plastic connection thing
  20. razr 2's i say, the toughest tire around, good traction, and last a long time, irazr are nice and hook up great, but the knobs are too small and wear down too quick kenda knarleys are crap, if your gona be riding in PA, make sure you bring tons of tire plugs with you
  21. list all your mods, and your current jetting for someone to be able to point you in t he right direction
  22. no thats not normal, how is it supposed to stay true to the back sprocket if its moving in and outh ont he shaft? the only thing i could think u did wrong was maybe you didnt seat the lockwasher behind the nut on the grooves right? with the sprocket on, theres barley enough meat sticking out left on the grooves of the shaft to hold that lockwasher in place without its falling down and off the grooves if you know what i mean, it could have fell off the grooves while you were tightening the nut, and the nut is only tightened down against the lockwasher which is torqued down against the end of the splines and not against the sprocket like it should be, i hope that made sense or maybe it was like my friends was the other week, he took his chain off to change the swingarm, i grabbed his front sprocket out of total randomness and it had a shitload of play in and out like yours, he thought the nut was tight cause he couldnt spin it, but it was just tight enough to keep the lockwasheer on the grooves then bent around the nut , it had in and out play but just barley tight enough to keep the sprocket from falling off the splines
  23. u think his is long... check out DJ LIL MIKE: http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=96246
