what type of porting are you having done? u should ask the builder what he likes to use with his porting? and please please please tell me your motor isnt at RRP? (i see ur from NJ)

sounds like my buddy he doesnt even know how to adjust his needle clip setting but hes talking about porting his cylinders while they are off "yea lots of people have told me its easy, just take a dremel and make all the openings a little bigger" i was cracking up, even funnier was his ignorant friend telling me i was wrong when i said "its 100 times easier to ruin it and make less power than it is to gain power" (a thing ive heard many people say time and time again on these forums)

the link is dead but i know trhey offer a couple models now they used to have just the thin dom steel ones, with lesser heim's now they also build full chromoly arms and offer upgraded chromoly heims too - both options are more money of course and put you in the neighborhood of alot more choices ive heard mixed reviews , some people have had em for a while with no prboelsm, others not as good luck haha i do know they have, olr at least in my case, had, good customer service, i ordered the package deal with the a-arms and works triple rate shocks, i chnaged my mind like a week after the order was placed, emailed him and said id like to keep the shocks and would have no problem paying for them, but asked if he could deduct the amount he charges for a set of a-arms and keep the a-arms, he had no problem doing so at all, asked why i chnaged my mind, said the heims looked suspect, he then offered me the upgraded chromoloy heims free of charge, i still said no thanks, and went with some chromoly armadillo arms, little more expensive, but worth it to me

i run the same setup, t5 with open airbox w/k&n, sea level or close to it, summer temps i run 280 main 3rd clip on toomey needle stock pilot 1.5 turns on air/fuel

compression test! should have done that before rippin on it

any bog is a bad bog , properly jetted, or close to it, VS a rich jetted banshee are worlds apart, even one clip on the needle can make a huge difference DMC recommends ridiculous jetting to people, thats why the low end sucks so bad, everyone listens to them and puts 30 pilots in, at least this guy didnt llisten to them and put a 340 main in too, haha

are you running them wound out to the very end of the threads or somethin? what front end setup do you have?

i order them from RMATV, never had any problems.. cheap as hell compared to pivot works, and u can buy em by themselves without buying the whole "kits"

agreed, ive found the same results in my experience with both, i got lots of seat time on piped yfz, they definitly run strong, but a good running piped banshee is definitly right there with it, pullin away in the upper gears

k&n are clearly out of their minds! do they also recommend running the needle on the 5th clip? and if your talkin a shee with stock pipes, wih a k&n filter and a k&n lid, id bet youd be around a 240-250 main edit* never mind i see your pipes in your signature, id start at a 300 main and work down, i couldnt imagine a piped banshee with a single k&n filter wanting more than a 300 main, especially in the summer

intake mod? its a lid that restricts airflow, i know ive made fun of this thing on here and e2s many times, sorry, but i had to again.. 30 piilot,/320 main is huge on a piped shee, especially with an airbox that has a lid on, even a "powerlid", i dont run anywhere near that fat , even in winter, and i got no lid, i run a k&n, no lid, 280s, stock pilots, 3rd clip on toomey needles for the summer i know DMC recommends crazy fat jetting in their instructions, i wouldnt listen to them though, that sounds like over kill edit - next post just reminded me of that, so yea, by the way im at sea level too,

bore the banshee to 525, and add jets,, the ppoolaris wouldnt stand a chance

you would have to at least bore the banshee out to 450cc or bigger, or else it will never keep up you might even need a k&n power lid, im not sure

my quad mag says banshees are outdated pieces of crap that cant keep up with the new 4 strokes, my quad mag also says they put a high compression piston in their project blaster

the key is, dont park at coal hill, and dont park at "the washes" (the big lot surrounded by pine trees on the side of the main road), thats where the cops go, they are too lazy , and their crown vics are too low, to drive all the way back through the woods, we drive 2-3 miles into the woods and park our truck, so they are way off the beatin path,, although when we were down at the lake last weekend swimming, a group of guys told us they saw some sort of law figure driving around the woods in a white blazer stopping people, and that there was a couple guys on 4x4 quads also, i mean you CAN buy the permit, from the readington anthracite coal company, $100 a year, qwhich is well worth it for the hundreds of thousands of acres there are to ride (even more really) but i dont know how registration and all that crap works, i live in new jersey and i feel ya, we drove up one weekend, rode for 2 hours, came back to eat some lunch, and a damn state trooper rolled right up on us, we didnt even see him coming, but after that article meat posted, i think it was meat, it looks like the area is in for a big chnage, they are talkin about building a atv park that consists of 1800 acres?1 i mean fuck.. 1800 acres is absolutely nothing, wed cover that in 20 mins, anyway just watch out, the best thing to do would probably be just stop talkin about the area all togetehr! haha, last year i went on youtube and typed trevorton, like 10 videos, now go on there and type it, 4 pages long , and steadily growing by the way, wad, were you one of the guys me and my friend on the white raptor 700 rode with that day? zach and wacko came up with 4 other guys on banshees and a bunch of other people, and said a couple were on banshee hq?

yea its gettin a little out of control up there lately, they got security up there now riding around on quads, watch out peopel are gettin hurt every weekend, i know someone died memorial day weekend, and there was 3-4 other helicoptors there for other wrecks too,the weekend after people got hurt and cops showed up and were kickin eveyrine out of the lot, then i was up there this 4th-7th and heard from a few groups on the trails that there was cops at coal hill all day and at the flats parking lot all day and night kickign people out, bunch of helicoptors ,some seirousuly hurt people and maybe even another death? we rode by in the truck and saw a state trooper all parked up behind some bushes waitin for people to come by, watch out its gettin hairy up there
