4-6 sizes larger main!!!!!!!!? for adding a k&n filter!? and possibly a larger pilot?!??!? i hope this is a joke any any machine with carburators needs tuning and rejetting, even EFI quads needs tuning, but its all done externely on a little computer, or fuel controller , nothing is gas and go, temperature, elevation, mods, everything effects jetting, and will do so on a 4 stroke or 2 stroke, learn now, its very simple, if u can work a screwdriver and wrench, you can rejet a carburator..

cool i used to go to philly all the time when my friend was goin to drexel livin there, had alot of fun in that city!! good times im like 45 mins north of you, yep worst state to own a quad definitely, but luckily i live about 15 miles from PA, we just head west! and yea the chinstrap! haha my friends little brother always used to do that, we would rip into him hard about it, him and all his little buddies all had the chin straps

" no need to strap skid plates all over suspension" if there was no need you wouldnt be denting your a arms all the time like u said..? the only necessary skid plate is one for the sprocket and rotor? interesting..
-
i cant believe some of the money people put into suspensions to ride gncc type stuff that dont even have skidplates, thats crazy i think i couldnt imagine having a set of $1200 elkas sitting on $700-800 a arms, just hangin out exposed to everything gettin bashed by stumps and rocks, get some a -arms with skidplates!!!!

Do I need to mess with the Carbs?
Michael Jackson replied to vortechblown306's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
if the carbs were properly jetted for the motor being at 2000+ ft, and then you were riding at below 1000 ft, it would be on the lean side a tad, but that also depends on temperature too, colder air is denser than warm air, theres alot of factors effect jetting, your best bet is start a new thread, this one is a cluster fuck, start a new one, list ALL your mods on your banshee, which carbs u wana run, dependong on your motor and setup the stock ones could work better than the arftemarket ones if they are too big, list including air box, lid or not, type of aifilter, ect ect, list your elevation, and then someone may be able to help you -

it shouldnt even reach that little metal tab your talking about, do you have the thick metal washer installed in front front of the seal up against the inside of the dust cap? -
Idle adjustment w/ TORS removed. Where?
Michael Jackson replied to Pincushion's topic in General Banshee Discussion
should be a brass screw right below the choke lever on the right, and another on outside of other carb too of course -
70-75 , could probably get 80 with a boost bottle, white bros bottles make the most hp
-
tons to use , i use the bellray 80w gearoil
-
i use a rocky mountain Primary Drive o ring, steel of course, $55 for chain and both sprockets, works great for bangin around the woods, i dont like to spend alot of money on ware items, ive had this one 2 years so far, even if i onyl get 2 seasons out of it... its so cheap who cares, it works

Official Banshee How-To Video

guys i dont think anyone had a problem with him selling his DVD, its a great idea and will help alot of people out, i just think it was more about him asking for a sticky, when he wasnt even a paying member or site sponsor like all the other companies, and then the fact others called it a "donation", thats all... i mean think about it from another point of view... i got some old banshee parts im tryin to sell,,,can they give me a sticky too!!? its just about being fair thats all, meat called him out about selling dvds and not being a paying member, which is only fair and obviously tate realized that too, your gona profit of someone elses website that stays alive by o thers premium memberships and site sponsors, that aint fair...and he signed up asap for premium membership and everyone was happy... i think that pretty much sums it up, now all the cheerleaders come in and try to stir shit back up and take personal shots at people, i dont know meat personally, but i sure as hell can sense his sarcasm 100 miles away, you can tell hes getting a laugh out of it, so should you, no reason for everyone to get personal -
thaty c could have been bad news! haha i use locktite on all those rear bolts, those 2 and the swingarm bolt always come lose without lock tite

i dont wana step on any toes here, although i know how easy that is to do.. .. but why do you guys keep calling it a DONATION, hes SELLING instructional DVD's...a donation would be a situation where he made the DVD, uploaded it somewhere for people to see for free, THEN said, oh y ea by the way i wouldnt mind accepting some donations since i put so much time and effort into this, all donations would be appreciated , thats a donation,, saying you send me $20 or more, and i send you a DVD, thats not a donation, thats just selling a video tape..either way, cool idea with the video im sure it will help alot -
do you ever ride it?!
-
280 mains should be fine, if anything a little rich with your setup and elevation and summer temps dont put bigger pilots in it , leave the stock ones the toomey needles run great in mine on the 3rd clip down from blunt end do you have tors removed with real idle screws? to set your air screws turn them al the way in till they stop, turn your idle screws up a little higher than normal, turn air fuel screws out 1/2 turn at a time in each, wait 10 seconds, repeat, do that till u get the highest idle out of it, if you have to turn past 2 turns your pilot is too big, less than a turn and its too small, turn your idle screws bck down, make sure the carbs are both in sync, hope this helps, only u can ride it and see for sure though you never mentioned how your banshee was running either... does it bog anywhere? ect..

release the peace -
isnt that for 4 pokes? like a craptor 660? they run tad larger main jet in one of the carbs for some reason? either way k&n sound out of their minds, i would never take jetting recommendations from a company who sells air filters for every make and model machine with a internal combustion motor, they couldnt possiblly have tested half the machines , or even close, that they sell air filters for, a 350 main jet with 2 k&n filters doubled up on top of \eaacjhpother!? thats funny
-
if ur using those toomey needles, put them on the 3rd clip down, 4th was too rich for me, that will clear up the low end alot do you still have the lid on the airbox? if so take it off or least cut a huge hole in the top, i got about a 8x4" hole in the top of my lid through both layers, breathe fine and stop some water did you plugchop for the mains? maybe another 1/2 turn on each air fuel screw might heklp too...\theres a thread about how to setup your air fuel screws too, short version-(Imguessing u have tors removed?) turn your idle screws up a little higher than n ormal, play with the air fuel screws untill u get the highest idle out of it, turning them 1/2 turn at a time and waiting for the change to take effect, you will hear the idle chnage, say you find the highest idle at 1.5 turns, set them both at 1.5, then turn the idle back down to normal,
