buying a brand new banshee in 04, while my friends bought brand new yfz and raptors, my banshee proved time and time again, to be more reliable. ive towed both their bikes home, many times. (the craptor more), the only time my banshee has been towed home was 1. throttle cable snapped, 2. rear wheel came off axle and passed me on the trail. banshees are bulletproof, just dont bastardize it or buy it off some long haired freak that doesnt own any metric tools.

the only +2's for banshees ive seen that even offer skid plates are the armadillos that rocky mountain sells, thats one of the reasons i bought em unfortunately they are a very different design and are straight lines, not curves, so it wouldnt even be close you will probably have to do a lot of custom work to make any of them even come close to fitting

did you hammer the tabs of the lockwasher down flat? you should replace that washer each time, they are only about $2 from yamaha, ive re-used them in the past and then have trouble getting the nut back off because there is a bump in the metal washer you cant thread the nut past, make sure that washer is beaten flat, use a flathead and a rubber mallet , order a couple spares from yamaha, along with the nut that holds it on, ive had one strip out while riding 100 miles from home, if only i spent the $5 and had one in my toolbox!

something aint right if you need a 310, or even a 330 main jet at those temperatures with those mods with an air box lid on you should be 280 or below, take the lid off and maybe it might want a 300?, 310-330 with a lid sounds pig rich

no reason a piped banshee WITH A LID in that temperature needs a 27.5 pilot, go back to stock i remember years ago how many arguments would start over pilot jets, there are a lot of people with piped baneshees running huge pilot jets because there is a certain chart somewhere on this website that gives some shitty info, some people just copy and paste it and the shitty info continues to grow

a stock motor banshee really doesnt burn THAT much gas.. it all depends on how you ride, i can burna tank off in less than 2 hours, or i can ride for 4 hours on a tank but if you feel like its burning more gas than it USED TO all of a sudden, turn your gas on while its running and see if the gas is leaking out of one of the overflow tubes, that will make you burn through a tank REAL QUICK if your float is stuck,i think everyone has been through that definitely syn those carbs , that isnt why you are burning so much gas though
