I just got my set on and running. It's not a dedicated drag bike but I do it a lot. I set them up exactly like my 34PJs were. It feels pretty close as it is. Hopefully I will run the crap out if it tomorrow and do some dragging. I think they will do ok though. Did you get a deal on a pair or just looking to get a set?

I've always been told jet up until it pukes on it self. Then go back down one size at a time until it runs clean. That works for me and always gets a nice safe and sometimes rich setup. Works good for guys like me who aren't realy racing but want the motor to last as long as possible. All these recommendations are probably in the ballpark but you won't know for sure until your bike is done something like that. Since they're all a little different.

I just saw the same thing. I'm going anyway. A little rain will kill the dust in that place. It can get pretty bad. I am going to bring a awning and a tarp though just in case.

Finally got my pile together. Hopefully it will stay together for the day. Bringing a couple of sets of sand tires for that drag racing too. I bet it will be busy over there. Not an expert but I thought they were PWK Air Strikers. Air Strikers came after the original PWK. How come I keep reading about people upgrading their plain PWKs for Air Strikers and getting better throttle response and all that other crap?

My buddy bought an '01 a long time ago with T-5s on it. It had the stock jetting in it too. I can't believe it didn't melt down.

I'm just hoping I don't have to spend half the day tuning. I just spent the last 3 hours hacking and cutting crap trying to get the air filters to fit. The Boss intakes are cool. They lift carbs up and back so they don't hit the clutch. Might even have enough room to pull the bowl plugs. Forgot about the back end though. Between the new pipes that are about 1/4" bigger and the fancy intakes, the big ass filters don't want to go on the carbs. It went from almost pretty to a mess of rubber and hoseclamps. Always something. Hopefully it will get me through the day and then I can figure something else out.

Well I got them in and ran it last night. Didn't get to ride it though. I put the DEKs in it with 170 mains and 55 pilots. It won't idle at the moment. I have to pull the cable to get it to. i think I might have too much spring on my idle screws. I'm going to "adjust" those and try again. should be able to get a little ride around the yard in and see how id feels. It sounded crisp last night but I was just reving it in the garage.

You've got that set up nice. I'd swap you the wifes Mustang if I could talk her into it. Don't see that happening though. I'll have one of those one day. You should bring that to the Badlands this weekend and take me for a hellride in it.

I've been using grey scotch brite pads. Then polishing with Mothers. If you are cheap like me you will just have to keep on them and don't let them get rusty again.

The jury is still out on that one. If I can't get all these new parts to play nice together it might end up in a pile.

Same problem. I just put 35mm A/S on mine. It won't idle either I'm spacing the cable to get it to idle at the moment. Will too big of a pilot keep it from idling? I'm going to try the spring thing also. There seems to be alot of spring in there.

I finally got my pile going. It's really loud. Should sound bad as hell screaming up the hills over there. Little bit of tuning and hopefully I'll be ready.

Realy, the a/s not a good combo? How come nobody runs them?

Hey what all is on your +4 bike? reeds, intakes, all that crap. I should be pretty close to what you are running.

Just got some 35mm Air Strikers. they have CELs in them. My old PJs I had put DEKs in per the engine builder. What's the difference in needles? I'm about to get it running and don't want to spend the next year jetting. Anybody have any insight?

Just got them mounted up last night. Got new intakes today. Should get it all together tonight. I'm hopefully going to ride the crap out of it this weekend. I should know then. They look bad as hell on there. Big and fat. Little bitty silencers too. Should be pretty loud.

I thought you wanted the fronts anyway?
