And that's exactly why I ran a 2-1 until I went EFI. I'm not drag racing and only having one carb to dick with, the free space under the seat, light throttle pull, and it was real nice and snappy in the low/mid range once I got the needle figured out. Now that I'm efi, I'll never go back to carbs period. I will say that I really miss the free space under the seat though. 2 throttle bodies, pods, and stingers = zero room. I'm half tempted to try to a single 40-44mm throttle body with port mounted injectors on a Y manifold of sorts to un-clutter it down there. But that sounds like alot of work....

As tricked said, step one clean. Step two check jetting to make sure you're at least in the ballpark. Then start playing with spring and adjuster settings on the pv once you know they're free and you're close on jetting.

Anyone run stock swinger with a 4ml?
Whitbread replied to Dunatic619's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
My roundhouse converted stocker is about 1" shorter than stock and I'm running my 421 efi trex on it just fine. I 99% do trail riding. -
I live in chesterfield, my shop is in downtown rochester, and my cabin where I'm moving to later this fall is outside lewiston. I don't do much riding south of St helen.

I do a ton of riding outside lewiston, my family has a cabin up there. Where are you at?

The difference is beam pattern, color, and quality. I have vision x light cannons on my banshee and the chinese knock off of them on my work beater truck that were $75 shipped for the pair. The chinese ones definitely work, but the color is not nearly as white, the beam is way less focused (closer to flood than spot like they're supposed to be), and the plastic housing is already turning gray from uv/ozone exposure. Am I happy with them for $75? Very much so. Would I put them on something I rip through the woods at 50+mph with my life depending on what I can see ahead? Maybe not so much.

Snapped my brand new crank snout installing flywheel
Whitbread replied to ShrpShooter's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I've seen guys rattle on them with 1/2" IR TI impacts and that not happen. The threads should've pulled out of the nut before the end of the crank popping off....JMHO. -

Big bore sleeves or new cylinders
Whitbread replied to Lampy0902's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Can't beat the bang for the buck factor of the new driveline top end package. -
^ ditto what he said. One of single best things I've ever done. Unbelievable difference.

I love it, it's a wicked little monster. It's a touch big of a pistol to carry for a skinny guy like me, but at 5-530 with an alientech iwb, it hides well enough my gun buddies didn't even spot it wearing a normal t shirt. Recoil is nothing, when you pick it up you think it's an air soft toy, and hitting a silhouette at 50 yards requires no compensation for bullet drop. I don't know if I would pay full retail for one, but I got it on partial trade for a job so I'm 100% happy with what I paid for it. People say the ammo is expensive, but I already had a press, so I load my own for 18 cents/round. Even if you buy off the shelf ammo, you're at the same or less than .45. So I don't understand the bitching on that topic.

421 stock cylinder top end package
Whitbread replied to Whitbread's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Sold to crocodile dundee! Thanks! -
Small but mighty. Shooting handloaded 30gr copper bullets at 2450fps, it's more energy than a 9mm. With 21 on board, it only weighs 1.78lbs.

421 stock cylinder top end package

No dyno numbers, but it ran damn hard for a non drag motor. Bansheehp can tell you more about the port work if you have any specific questions. Domes are for a prodesign/noss/chariot/stealth head. 4 mil long rod. $400 if you come pick it up. -
I bought this top end setup from Driveline to use while I was waiting for my t-rex jug to be fixed so I could still ride. The way it ended up working out, I only put one 90 mile ride on these cylinders with about 2 hours of tuning. So in total about 10 hours of running with 40:1 klotz R50. Port timings are 196/128 with a .060" base gasket and kicking comp is about 165-170psi with included domes. Squish is .048". 68mm bore/4 mil stroke. I dusted the cylinders with a hone just to put fresh crosshatch as one just started to flash rust on a humid day here. The package will be shipped to you as a new base gasket, new head o rings, new piston rings, cylinders, reeds, pistons, and domes. Price is $425 shipped to your door, firm.

Just the 3 little nubs. Grind them just above flush with the rest of the inside of the cover.

I have the flexx bars and I love them for woods riding. I angle them back just a touch so they pivot more in line with incoming bumps as others have said to do. I can't go back to any kind of rigid bar. Got them off fleabay for about $125 if I remember correctly.

Have Pictures of Blue Clarke 5.5 gal Fuel Tank Installed?
Whitbread replied to WALZ's topic in Banshee Appearance
Luckily I'm only 165lbs, so even with full tanks I'm still pretty light overall in relative terms. Camelback is for the beer! I've found that riding wide open trails where I'm WOT 75% of the time, the 421 t rex only gets about 8-9mpg. So even with 7.3 gallons on board, I only have 65 miles of range for that kind of riding. Last ride I went on tight trails and I did 90 miles and still had just under 1 gal left after dumping in the rotopax. -
Bright as fuck. 70W of LED's.

Have Pictures of Blue Clarke 5.5 gal Fuel Tank Installed?
Whitbread replied to WALZ's topic in Banshee Appearance
You'll be glad you did. Even with the Clarke tank and a 1.75 gal rotopax filled to the brim, I can't tell any negative difference in weight on the bike. It's so nice being able to go 80-100 miles without worrying about fuel. -
E85 and klotz super techni plate smell like sex. Issue with e85 is that it's not always the same concentration from the pump. With my efi setup, my fuel composition sensor detects the alkyl percent exactly and adjusts fuel and timing accordingly. With a carburetor, you will be doing a lot Of test and tuning between batches of fuel. And since you still need to purge with it, in my opinion it doesn't make much sense outside of an EFI bike.

Gotta love when a guy in jeans shows up a pro haha.
