I went from gnarlys to PT high revs couldn't be happier. I honestly have much more low-mid range than I ever did with the ganrlys. And a crazy top end pull to boot. The PT mids are supposed to have an even stronger low-mid range too. I still have my set of gnarly's laying around if you'd want them though.
Don't get the moose if you ever plan on doing a dc conversion. I'd spend the 185 for a ricky stator 200w unit any day over the moose. To get the advertised watts from the moose you have to keep AC current and run a second set of lights. It has two sets of coils; the main is 150w and the second is 100w each with their own power output wires.
I myself prefer 1" i.d. heater hose and some worm gear clamps. Pretty? not exactly. Cheap and work well? Incredibly. 1 foot of hose and 4 clamps ran 5 bucks from TSC.
I have one of the dial a jet setups on my single keihin and it works awesome. There is a pretty wide margin between leanest and richest settings. I just change jets between summer and winter. The d.a.j covers in between very nicely. Worth every bit of the 20 bucks I paid for it off ebay.
If the t5's and st. 4 are indeed very comparable, I'd take the trinity's solely on the fact that they're stainless. No rust, no flakey chrome, and I think the darker shine looks way sexier than chrome when polished.
Crap, my picked tired are pretty well done. 10 ripped out in one and 3 on the other with a flat tube ::. Does anyone have a spare set i could borrow for a couple of beers or something?
I just saw this today and happen to have saturday off of work. I'm gonna see if i can't finagle my schedule and make it. A couple of picks ripped out the last time I went riding but I'll try to fix them.
A diesel banshee would be the absolute shit. IDI would probably even let you use stock style pistons (without a bowl) with good rpm capabilities. Maybe use an rz oil injection pump to squirt the crank and rod bearings. I like where this is going... Kicking 17:1+ compression over would be a bitch though.
Well i'm sure i'll be one of the lesser prepared guys out there and it will be my first time doing ice oval so it should be rather funny  How much snow is on the ground up there though? We only have maybe an inch here in ohio.
Excellent to hear, i'll get everything ready and head up to michigan tomorrow after work. I'll be in a red diesel jetta pulling a red trailer and my banshee is dark metallic purple and black with black paul turner pipes. I should be rather easy to pick out haha. My tow vehicle choice may sound a little funny but i get 33 mpg towing at 75mph
Whats the ice report? Are we still on for racing?
r_flagel222, just go to home depot and get a couple packs of #10 x 1/2 sheet metal screws and go to town (the ones that the threads come to a point, not the ones with the built in drill bit).
No problem at all man, sorry it took so long. They're definitely my favorite pipes of any that i've ridden. I'll trade the couple of hp more that shearer or cpi would make for the clearance and cool looks any day.
Here's a pic of the other side and the video
. I thought it was rather well light in the garage but the camera didnt agree so it came out rather dark. The grab bar is visible though haha. In the pic, it's actually running but my crappy camera apparently has a high enough shutter speed to freeze the lock up.
Wohoo, finally had some free time today to get some gas and fire her up. Its running rather rich though since its jetted for about 5 degrees and its 40 here now haha.
I'm well aware and ashamed :: . I tried to take a quick vid but i ended up running out of gas while warming her up haha. I work 55 hours a week plus 23 hours of school so its been a little difficult finding time to go get a couple gallons of 93 for it. I'll see what i can do on sunday evening when I get back to ohio. I'm still trying!!!
Those are the exact same fibers that were in my bike when i bought it. No clue what kind it is though. I replaced it with the street bike fibers and they look completely different.
