Miss your meeting??

Try http://www.zabasearch.com/ and see if you can get his info there. (Fe)eBay won't charge you for a dead beat bidder hijacking your auction.

I'm sure you will...I like mine!! As an added bonus. it fits great too!!

I think the magic word missing here would be the term "significantly"... It would seem that anytime you add surface area to a cooling system, you increase the ability to discharge or release radiant heat through conduction. Hold you finger against the hot radiator....you have cooled down your radiator by the amount it took for you to form that blister!! Adding a drop of cold water to a boiling pot of water also cools down that pot, just as insignificantly... It's that damn "for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction" thingy... Cool!! I found out about this product because of one of your posts, so.... !!! So...did it fit the bodywork well or did you have to cut away some plastic?

Hey... I want to buy one of those Mr.Gasket Thermocaps (temp gauge in the cap) but don't know if the Banshee is a 13 or 16 PSI system. Do you know? If you don't know what I'm talking about, here is the link to the item in question.... http://go.mrgasket.com/newproducts/flyers/74241G.pdf Jay Form San D.

Here is the Mr. Gasket website and info. http://go.mrgasket.com/newproducts/flyers/74241G.pdf What is the stock cap PSI spec? They offer a 13 and 16 PSI model. Thanks, Jay from SanD iego. BTW: Does it fit with the stock plastic in place? Can you read it when you are riding? Is it easy to see when you are stopped? GREAT IDEA!!!

Does anyone else have an opinion on a favorite quad magazine? I'm primarily a sand dunes rider and am looking for a performance quad mag...not a utility quad zine. Thanks, Jay from SanDiego.

I remember when the square tubed "lawn chair" frames came out in the 80s... Everyone HAD to "upgrade" their motorcycles because the "old" bikes had old tech round tubular frames. If the racers were using square/rectangle frame material, it HAD to be better. I pit crewed the USGP in '91 and had a discussion with one of the weldres/fabricators about frame design and his conclusion was that the ONLY reason they used rectangular material is the ease at which a damaged piece can be cut out and replaced!! You don't need to radius and fit square tube like you would the round style. As far as strength, round has superior characteristics in that it resists loads and forces equally where a square/rectangle frame is strongest at parallel/perpendicular loading and weakest at a 45 degree angle to force. In other words, loading forces cause uneven flex when it is received at varying input angles in square tube design versus a linear flex rate equal to the loading force in a round tube design..... Ever look at a Ducati??

Here is mine with the LSR +2axle as well as offset wheels. I like how the camera added a couple of inches.... Click on the photo for a larger pic.

Hey SoCalinIt... I called Cycle Gear and the front Floats are available. Did you know that you can't get the Evols? The only shocks they have for the 'shee are the standard Float shock...No Adjustable Compression or Rebound. They are for stock length A arms only. The CSR I spoke to at Cycle Gear contacted Fox for me and was told that Fox didn't recommend these shocks for racing...they are more for the recreational rider!! But, hey, if these are what you want and you want to order them from a shop near you, feel free to ask for my coupon if you need to order these shocks. If you don't have a shop near you, I'd be happy to order them for you and send them to you at your actual cost...I don't need to turn a profit. There is a Cycle Gear shop 3 miles from me on Convoy St. and a UPS Store 1 mile away so no prob for me!! So here is the deal you are looking for: $695 - 20% = $556 + tax by my calculations. Maybe $10.00 or so to ship...these things are light!! I have Fox air shocks (Float RL and Float RP3 w/5" travel F/R for you detail oriented individuals!!) on my 2006 GT 1.0 mountain bike. Love would be a word I'd use to describe my bicycle suspension... Let me know...time is short!! Coupon expires 2 July!! Jay from SanD.

Hey SoCalinIt. Maybe I can help you here. I have a 20% off coupon good for anything in store or special order from Cycle Gear that expires on 2 July. http://www.cyclegear.com/ You should give them a ring, see if they can order your Fox shocks...and if so, PM me and I'll send you out the coupon. This is an "in store only" coupon so I think you'd have to actually go to their store to place your order, but you can call them to see if they can get these shocks for you. Jay From SanD.

Has anyone received a swinger yet?!?!?!?!? Has anyone asked for a refund? -
I'm bored. The season is over. I might as well chase down some work on my 'shee. Does anyone have an idea on how to check out frame straightness without disassembling the quad and setting the frame on a flat surface? Also, do the Lonestar A-arms use stock Yamaha bushings/seals? When do people generally start going back to Glamis? I'm still new at this !! <<Looking forward to my 2nd season>> Thanks, Jay.

I'll second that...I hang glide with the "E Team" out in Elsinore once in a while... It's kinda cool to see guys/girls with guns and kids riding dirt bikes on the street.... I hear that New Years Eve can be interesting though...

Congrats on your new purchase... I come from the point of view that "suspension is everything" so looking at it from my angle, your shock thinks you just gained 70 pounds. That isn't good. If you just crank your spring to get your "Race Sag" where you want it to to make it usable for riding, you will sacrifice your "Free Sag". You will basically end up with an undersprung, under dampened shock that will get progressively worse because you will have the spring at max preload and the rebound set to max...it will kill the shock oil purdy kwik!! You can find a good deal on an aftermarket shock that will transform your quad into a controlled, precise carver if you drop a few bucks.... Or you can just go out, have fun and blaze it!!! Enjoy.... Jay From SanD.

Anything to make rich people richer.... Special Interest Groups Suck the life out of our Country. I wonder if in my life I'll witness a modern day version of the Boston Tea Party. Between the "Wilderness Pass," the ISDRA "Desert Pass," and any of the other National Parks "Passes" the government forces us, the land owners to purchase, I'm secure in knowing that at least our elected officials have Free Health Care and a Lifetime Pension!! I should have married that Australian woman I met when I was in Sydney....

I don't know what kind of compression you have with 20cc domes or what octane you need for your compression but if pump gas isn't enough for you, I see that there are 3 airports near you that should be able to sell you 100LL avgas that you can run or mix. I'm told it is 110-115 octane fuel. I run 50/50 with my compression and have had no probs so far. Walker airport, off of Avenue D East appears to be closest to you, (thanks GoogleEarth!!) but Boven and Shafter are there as well. GIve them a call... Generally. the smaller airports are the friendliest in selling fuel to you. The airport near me offers 24 hour access to their "self serve" island...just swipe your Discover card...and get 5% cash back!! Nice. Remember...2-strokes LOVE lead!! Also, Avgas has a 15 month shelf life...an added bonus!! Hope this helps, Jay From SanD.

Talk to the guys at Cycle Parts West. They race their quads every weekend and their parts shop is quad friendly. They are just 2 blocks West of the 805 on El Cajon Blvd. Guess you got it back up, huh? Jay From SanD. -
Nope. It is a Tach Output cable connector. Rz's pick up their speed sensor from the front wheel.... That I'm positive of...
-
Well, I just got the bad news...I've gotta work Thursday through Sunday... ] So it looks like I can't accept your invitation to camp with you guys next weekend. And I was looking so forward to my first game of Beer Pong!! :yelrotflmao: Post some photos when you get back!! Jay (stuck in ) SanD.
