  1. I've got 17,000 pennies for him... Looks like he spent a bundle on custom plastic/paint though. The exhaust looks trick...all the bling really caught my eye. What is the other picture? Log rolling on a Banshee?? :yelrotflmao: BTW: It takes a REAL MAN to sport pink!!
  2. I don't really understand this post. Why do the leaves seem to fall at the same time there? I've never been where you are, but if it is anything like it is here in San Diego with the summer high temp average of 82 and the winter average high at 67, the leaves aren't exactly in a hurry to leave the trees. Not exactly an extreme climatic change I guess. Shoot...my lemon tree has over 100 lemons on it in January!! :yelrotflmao: Winter just means I have to cut the grass more often. I can't imagine having "miles of fence".... I guess you wouldn't have to travel far to ride. That would be cool.
  3. AVGAS 100LL $4.85 San Diego. Has a storage life of 15 months. I usually mix it 50/50 with Chevron Premium. No detonation pre-ignition at 165lbs comp +4 degrees. You can buy it at the smaller muni airfields.
  4. Hook a brother up!! I can see it now...it will be like the free rear rotor you had. I could see it now Firehead..."Free V Force3s...but you have to come by and pick them up personally!!" :yelrotflmao: Shoot...you even sweetened the pot with a tasty local micro-brew incentive if I remember correctly. I saw some on (Fe)eBay for $189. Might have to check them. To those of you that have these V Force 3s... did you get more power overall or was it more in the lower, mid, or top end range or did it just give a snappier throttle response? Did adding these reeds richen up the A/F circuit? I feel the need to go move some sand Thanks, Jay From SanD____eigo.
  5. I have stock cages and Boyesen dual-stage design "Power Reeds" made of fiberglass. I guess they work...my motor runs. Actually, these reeds are a lot better than the OEM stock petals. I was thinking of getting a set of the V Force 3 cages. How long do these reeds last compared the the Boyesens? Typically, I don't replace the Power Reeds for years. Do these carbon reeds cash out seasonally? I see a lot of people have these...would you buy them again now that you have run them for a while? I don't want to feel like I bought a $200 boost bottle. :yelrotflmao: Thanks, Jay.
  6. Dude...you are doing it again. I remember the last time you formatted a question in "text message" format...it wasn't pretty
  7. There are a bunch on (Fe)eBay in the ATV parts section. Depending on what you want to spend, you can either get some used ones for about $10 or pick up a set of 4 brand new ones for around $60. I kinda like the Honda design sets that are around $100 myself.
  8. Forgot to add...the MX one in the pic is the YZ250...
  9. I think it's for the same reason they don't show the ring girls in boxing anymore....they don't want people getting jealous and crying about it!!
  10. That'll be cool  they will look like Mohawks!! Shoot, bust out the SawZall and use the grinder for clean up!! Just put some pressure in the tires to minimize deflection while you cut..... Good luck on that, Jay from SanD.
  11. Like was pointed out, they are kinda cramped for someone your size...but it will pull your weight easily. Get a bar riser and you should be good. Pick up a Toomey Blaster B1 kit off eBay and you will have a quad that is waaaaayyyy faster than that 250 4-poke. My neighbor has a 250EX and there is no comparison in power...plus the Blaster is a 6 speed. Ringa-ding-ding!! BTW: The bike shop near my house is selling new Blasters for $2800. Maybe you can get the same deal near you and sell yours for the same price.... New is good!!
  12. I was thinking of cleaning up my front brake line run (currently zip tied to my tie rods!!) and was wondering what most people do to secure their brake lines to their suspension. Should I run 2 on each side? Connect to upper or lower arm? Which side...front or rear? What do you do to deal with the varying length created by turning? I only ride in sand so if that makes a difference in your recommendation...there it is!! Thanks, Jay.
  13. Unbelievable... It would be cool to go in for a demo, and crank some old school Rage For Order...and watch the salesperson cringe!! :yelrotflmao: One of my friends went to a local semi-snooty electronics store to demo a big screen/home theater setup. He brought his own DVD...they didn't see the humor in seeing a 65" Silvia Saint Porno / pretty loud audio. THAT would have been funny to see.....
  14. Hey Brian...how about a picture?? I'm trying to decide on which pipes to get so I'd like a visual aid for the CPIs!!
  15. Probably not the best choice for 2nd floor installation. Damn... I thought I had it going on with my Yamaha RX-V 2300, 4-Klipsch KSF-8.5 Towers, KSF-C5 Center, and KSW12 440 Watt sub. Actually, I like Klipsch speakers. It's a good feeling to walk into the "Home Theater" room at Fry's (friggin HUGE electronics retailer) and like the way your audio sounds over their "best" showcase stuff... But then again...maybe it's because of my hearing loss from my military service...
  16. Reread the green sticker section of my initial reply. It says: "Green stickers are issued for all 2002 year model and older OHVs, including those that were previously issued a red sticker, and to 2003 and newer vehicles..." Initially, you had a red sticker quad. Later, they agreed upon the 2002 cut off year for green stickers so you are grandfathered in.... Go get your much coveted green sticker man!! Print the page found on this link, bring it with you and show 'em they don't know their job: http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/brochures/howto/htvr19.htm or http://www.dmv.ca.gov/vr/ohvredgreen.htm
  17. So is mine. Here is what I saw on the DMV website...last updated in 2007. Pay particular attention to the 8th digit position of the VIN: Green stickers are issued for all California OHVs year model 2002 and older, including those that were previously issued a red sticker, and to 2003 and newer complying vehicles. Green stickers are issued to OHVs for year round use at all California OHV riding areas. Red stickers are issued to 2003 year model and newer OHVs that are not certified to California OHV emission standards. If your OHV has a "3" or "C" in the eighth position of the vehicle identification number (VIN) then your vehicle will be issued a red sticker. Red stickers are issued to OHVs that can use California OHV riding areas for seasonal use only. I'd argue the point and demand to see the statute in the vehicle code book that shows the change.... Jay From San D.
  18. Found an online store that sells vehicle repair manuals pretty cheap. Shipping is $4.25 for 1 and a buck more for additional manuals. Check it....here is a link to the Banshee Clymer repair Manual. http://www.themotorbookstore.com/yamban19.html
  19. Does anyone else have any pointers for setting up my front end for sand? I'm still trying to figure out if I should put sand bags on the seat to bring my quad to ride height or do the settings as it sits. Anyone have different spec recommendations that differ from the manufacturer numbers? One other Q....I have +2+1s. Is that +2 per side or +2 overall? Thanks, Jay.
  20. I was going to buy something from White06Shee in AZ. He ended up deciding to keep his parts but his communication with me was straight forward. While I didn't transact with him, I would have.... I'd be truly surprised if he didn't take care of you......
  21. Link to a $20 helmet cam!!! http://www.toygroove.com/pics-vids/hcam.ht...CFRFSagodxgodTA
  22. That is what I needed to know. I have a stocker flywheel. Jay.
  23. It sure would have been nice to have the dealer yank the stock exhaust off and knock $1500 off the price of a new 'shee :yelrotflmao:
  24. Snop did a dyno comparo that showed a loss of HP...minimal as it was. Definitely no gain of power. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...mp;#entry727640
