Check out the Pro Motion brand. Mine is 1/4 twist. I tried riding a thumb throttle ATV but it just wasn't for me.

I'm meeting up with some friends at the pad near the Beach Store. Anyone else heading out to Glamis the weekend before the Big Weekend?? If you wanna meet up or hang/camp, give a shout. Family environment...the more-the merrier!!
-
I run a twist throttle...that would take care of your clearance problem too!! I only ride Glamis/Gordon's/Buttercup too and I don't have a control issue in the sand. If I were riding in the dirt, I might have a different opinion. Personally, I think the twist is better for dragging anyhow. If you ride a cycle, the transition is consistant....going from your bike to the quad. I ride a YZ250 too. So to answer your question on bars...I run 1 1/8" Renthal Fat Bars.

Somr extra $$$$ coming, what should I get?
jayzx10r replied to caddyman's topic in General Banshee Discussion
What kind of riding do you do? What exhaust and what "internal" mods? It's hard to help you determine what the best bang for the buck is without the above info. MOTOR: If is basically stock aside from the welded crank: An exhaust that compliments your type of riding. This is the #1 thing!! Porting is always good. A set of Boyesen Power Reeds. Cool Head. Get rid of the airbox if you can...or get one of the aftermarket ones. A reasonable oversize carb setup. Timing Plate. 200Watt Stator. SUSPENSION: Braided Brake Lines. Different front "A" arms/shocks. Works are an inexpensive good choice. +2 swingarm for sand or a +4 for hill climbing. Different rear shock. 1 1/8" handlebar. Steering stem. Better wheels/tires. Better lights. Bling is OK when you are parked, but when you ride you will have wished you spent your money under the seat!! -
I thought it was funny how this NooB was badmouthing anyone he could. I was especially impressed by how he was trying to push his overpriced POS gasket set for waaaayyyy more than any of us would pay for it. I called him on it and it turned into a roost!! :yelrotflmao: Gotta like that one... The whole time, I'm thinking this dude is thinking........... I know you are, but what am I? I know you are, but what am I? I know you are, but what am I? I know you are, but what am I? I know you are, but what am I? I know you are, but what am I? I know you are, but what am I? I know you are, but what am I? I know you are, but what am I? I know you are, but what am I? I know you are, but what am I? I know you are, but what am I? I know you are, but what am I? I know you are, but what am I? I know you are, but what am I? I know you are, but what am I? I know you are, but what am I? I know you are, but what am I? Ooooooohhhhhh BURN!!! This was my best laugh today!! As a Bonus, we found a REAL complete gasket/o-ring set for $27 bucks from a reputable seller!!

If you were within a couple hundred miles, it would be worth the drive time to straighted this out. Since we can't, this will be my last post on the subject. 1: No way did you sell that gasket set to anyone on this forum. 2: That makes you a liar. 3: The nature and methodology in which you choose to respond dictates you are still a kid. 4: Your preponderance to revert to oral fixation in quite a few of your posts lends me to think that a: you were not nurtured in your youth, or b: you have a pretty mouth, boy!!! Either way, I'm done with you....kinda like your future.
-
Hey tough guy...where are you located? I'm in San Diego....we should meet.
-
Hey, I wanna be an asshole too!! Anyone that needs a complete gasket/o-ring set for $23.00 can pick it up on eBay right now for BIN $23.69 + $4.75 shipping!! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/YAMAHA-BANS...1QQcmdZViewItem The seller has 100% positive feedback with over 35,000 transactions. This nimrod has 80 posts and I already don't like him. Dude...you are a real piece of work. Nothing like using the power of insults to polarize yourself against some of the best people on this site. I bet you would try to sell a stock exhaust for $475 because it "retails" at $900, wouldn't you?? Your parent's don't tell you...but you are a disappointment to them......

I don't know how much you plan on doing to it, but I picked up the Toomey B1 Blaster Pipe Kit and installed it on my '03 Blaster...now it rips!!It came with the pipe/silencer, a UNI filter, 12-1" airbox filters and their "jet kit" which consisted of a main jet. You will want a needle from an '03 or later model too. I'm running it with the lid off. It easily has 30% more power and is a Blast to ride now!! There is some guy on (Fe)eBay that sells water cooled head kits for $175 that look pretty good, if you want to go that route. I think installing the B1 is a great way to jet your Blaster!!

It was a good time...75 on Saturday and maybe 80 on Sunday. The sand drags were pretty cool...only 2 Banshees and 30-40 4-pokes. It got to the point where they wouldn't even wanna line up with me. The sand had pretty good traction...maybe it had rained during the week. Sorry man...no pics. I was kinda busy riding!! I was thinking of hitting Glamis either this next weekend or the weekend before Easter. Its gonna run fukin $200 for gas just to get out there in the MoHo... :shoothead: Jay from SanD.
-
Anyone heading out to Glamis or Buttercup over Easter? I haven't decided yet if I'm gonna go out over Easter, but if more that a few are going, I just might too..... Jay From SanD.

In all honesty...it shouldn't have happened!!I would have liked to see the frame/suspension get at least a couple of significant updates over the last quarter century. Even just switching to chrome moly frame tubing would have been welcome, let alone an improved steering head design or suspension change. If you don't think much has changed since the 80s, go crank up some Flock of Seagulls!! :yelrotflmao: Rock On!! I am never selling mine. There are few things more fulfilling than seeing 10 4-pokes behind you at the sand drags....on your 20+year old design quad.
-
It was $25 last year. It as doubled as of 1JAN to $50.00 for a 2 year sticker. There is also talk of adding an $11.00 fee to ALL registered vehicles. Fuking Illegals are ruining my Country.... Thanks Arny.

Heading out to Gordon's Well Saturday morning or MAYBE Friday afternoon. Anyone else gonna be there? Jay From SanD.

I did a Google search...they are in in Oceanside, CA...30 miles north of me!! http://www.electrosport.com/electrosport_atv_electrical.html http://www.electrosport.com/Images/fitting.esg870.pdf

There is a manual pinned at the top of this thread.
-
If it's any help, I used to change it in my RZ350 every 1500 miles..... That would probably be like every 10 years on a Banshee!! So it's once a season for me...but even that is overkill!! I only hit the dunes 5-8 weekends a season.
-
I don't get it. An '87 Warrior Ball Joint looks like the Roll Designs version. The ones on my Lonestar A-arms look like the ones Ricky Stator sells for $19.75 each.http://www.rickystator.com/catalog/product...;products_id=51 There is also a picture with the info you were looking for about automotive application parts that fit. I'm gonna go with the RS ones myself, if the threads are the same.
