  1. PM Sent. I forgot to enable email notifications!! :ermm:
  2. I paid for a part on Friday and it was in my mail box on Monday!! An easy transaction... Thanks man.
  3. It's good to see that someone else was in the sand over Easter...I was at Glamis. Wasn't it awesome...with the full moon and great weather?? Congrats on the wins and all on a garage built motor!! That is how it is supposed to be!!
  4. That is funny...."crxtrixxx" doesn't have any negative feedback on eBay but "turbotrix2004" shows the sale of a Dynoport exhaust with the wrong silencer on it and a negative feedback as described..... I've gotta say bro....it doesn't look good for you....
  5. Those are some puurdy intakes, bbooouuuyyy... :yelrotflmao:
  6. I think my 33 PWKs are the perfect carb for my application...I have a 4mil/dune port motor and I run at sea level in the sand. I'm not sure what your elevation or intended riding application is, but if you are at such a high altitude that you have to take it into consideration it in your design, I'd think a smaller carb would be better for you. I'd think the 35 wouldn't even be on your radar and the 33 would be the biggest to consider. Maybe the 30 would be best?? In answering your question, carb sizing is a balance of factors...so if your question is: What carb gives the most top end...that would be a 40mm. You obviously wouldn't choose it because it wouldn't atomize fuel at partial throttle opening so you wouldn't choose it. I'm using is as an extreme example. If you wanted the best throttle response for trail riding, smaller carbs would be the best choice because they mix air/fuel best at partial throttle positions. Maybe your choices should be more in the 30-33mm range if you are at high altitude, otherwise you may give up a bunch of throttle response to gain a sliver of improvement in the wide open position...i'm leaning more toward the 30mm. A lot of people make the mistake of running carbs that are too big and they end up getting motored by someone with a better carb choice. Biggest isn't always best....
  7. Upload your photos here: http://www.imageshack.us/ Click the browse button to upload your photo. Choose the size, click host, copy the link to your listing and viola!! You have your photo!! 8. Half the reason I ride a 2-stroke is because it adds more fulfillment to the experience. That is the greatest difference compared to a 4-stroke. My Banshee isn't easy to ride. Yea, it has really good suspension for what I use it for (sand only) but it's a chore to ride correctly...but it rewards me in return for my effort!! Grabbing a few gears in the meat of the powerband is music they will never hear!! The 4-stroke machines are in technologically superior and modern in design and they can make a rider with mediocre skills look pretty good. If you have no concept on how to ride a Banshee, you are a sluggo. So basically, the 4-poke is a substitute for skill for most riders..... These guys just don't get it. There wouldn't even be 4-pokes if it weren't a mandate on emissions!! It is the environmental issues that have created the bureaucratic friendly modern design quads, outboard and snowmobile engines. If the playing field were leveled and our Banshees had a modern chassis and engine design, there wouldn't be a single 4-stroke in the field. (My fantasy Banshee...a motor with 2-YZ250 PV cylinders in a YFZ chassis ) So it isn't so much that they are arrogant, I think it is that it is more that they are generally clueless..... I just think to myself when I run across "that guy" in the dunes....whatever lemming. It isn't so unlike when I run across the Harley guys when I'm on my ZX10r.....same-same. :yelrotflmao: Jay From SanD. An added note: The 4 stroke is so cool that my neighbor spent $1100 on a piston, rings, pin, needle bearing, 4 new ti-valves, and springs. He didn't do the work himself because it's to "complicated." :: I'm thinking...4-stroke mentality.... I was thinking...dude!!, another $500 and you could have bought a 2002 YZ250!! It cost me $105 to rebuild the top end of my YZ250!!
  9. As an example, check out "utleybanshee" (nothing personal, just using this as an example) listing for sale at: http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=92460 This member has 49 posts, 42 of them generated in answering questions about parts he has/is trying to sell here. First, he posts questions about what is wrong with his low compression engine parts, then he posts them up for sale without pictures using an eBay format, looking for the best offer. 14 of the 17 responses to his parts would have been self explanatory had he had posted pics and prices. I have fished for pricing trying to figure out what something is worth before selling it so I can understand the mentality. I'm still a NooB. :yelrotflmao: But I think once you decide to sell something here, you should have a set price and snap photos....or go to (Fe)eBay. If you don't have a digicam...that's OK, but stating pictures on request is lame. My $.02 on this.
  10. Just got back last night...left Roadrunner at 7:00 and pulled into my driveway at 10:00. Friggin Perfect Weekend!! I was kinda surprised there weren't more people there so the dunes were in great condition. Full moon was awesome for night riding. I found the best way to race is to not use full throttle so that way I barely win...keeps the competition eager to race again. Someone was out on a pretty nice 500cc Quadzilla and I did the same thing...just beat him by a half a quad length. At the bottom of the hill, he was talking smack about how he would have roached me if he had gotten off the line better. Mind you...I was on my Sand Skate IIs...my Haulers were back at camp!! The next race I gave him full throttle and had at LEAST 7 lengths over him... :yelrotflmao: One of the guys (David) in our camp had a nice long travel buggy with a Cadillac DOHC motor...basically stock and it makes 350+ HP...a $35-40,000 rig. Pretty wild ride. He met up with one of his friends that had one of the $90,000 buggies and he was into giving out rides...you can t really explain what it is like riding in a 700 HP car with the most awesome coil over suspension. I couldn't feel the whoops as we sped up to over 90 MPH at the sand drags on Gecko. You punch it and the front end rises 2 feet!! Un Fucking Real. George (the gnarlier car owner) said he used to have a twin turbo motor that made 1100HP or something like that, but after going through 2 transmissions (something like 15-20k each) half shafts, and a bunch of other parts, he decided to drop the power a bit to only 700...Wow. It only has 700+. Going out again in 2 weeks...my neighbor has a bitchin' old school VW Chenowth buggy and a couple of quads, David with his buggy, and my GF and I...her on a Blaster for her and my Banshee for me. Quite possibly my last ride of the season because surgery is on my schedule mid April. Give a shout if you are gonna head out!!
  11. TTT for a good seller. I paid on Friday and received my part on Monday Thanks man, Jay.
  12. Thanks for the fuel, man!! Jay From SanD.
  13. Looking for a T.M. case saver...if you have one to get rid of, give me a shout!! Thanks, Jay.
  14. I'm running the stock flywheel and a Pro Design timing plate....
  15. I'm interested in the front res cover. Are you in San Diego...maybe we could meet up? Do you have a history of transactions on this forum? I have all the UMI covers but that one!! Thanks man, Jay.
  16. If I didn't already have one, I'd be inclined to check out one of the Electrex Stators that RMATV used to sell. My RS 200watt is working for me......
  17. Well, it's definite!! Heading out to Glamis on Friday night... Woohoo!! Two quads with me, my neighbor is bringing a buggy, 2 quads (HonDuh), and a bike, + meeting up with someone with a stoopid fast mid-long travel. My bro might show up with his DPV...Desert Patrol Vehicle mid travel Chenowth used in the Gulf War and a quad. I usually camp out near the Glamis Store or may go to one of the washes. If you know of a good place to park that has somewhat firm ground for an RV to get through, let me know. Getting stuck >SuckS<. Family friendly...alcohol friendly. Give a shout if you wanna meet up/camp....the more the merrier!!
  18. I'm on drugs so If this doesn't make sense, that's why!! It is just a ratio. To figure out how to arrive at 100, I'd have to know what your pump octane is. As an example...In California pump premium is 91. So if you mixed 2 Gs of 91 and add 1G of 117... 91+91+117=299 299 divided by 3 =99.66666 octane. Pretty close to the 100 number you are looking for. Even pump premium at 94 would net you an end result of 101.6 octane. Close enough for government work!!
  19. Most of the blond's here are half and half....so you can still get a bit of what you like!!
  20. I just want to make sure I understand this correctly: There is a guy in Texas that believes that sexual repression and Baby Einstein videos viewed on the electronic babysitter are a good thing for his child. This same person turns on his computer, finds a website he finds objectionable, sits his daughter on his lap to view unfiltered internet traffic, then demands that the users refrain from their freedom of expression of content that is generally considered PG as best. I don't know how old you are, but if you have a 2 year old, I'd estimate you to be in your early-mid 20s. I had a 2 year old daughter when I was 24 so I've been where you are now. You will find that your role as a parent is to instill your morals and values to your child while it seems that the role of the media is to undo your best efforts. You have free reign until they are about 6 years old...by then their personalities are pretty much set. As they grow, your influence wanes until they ultimately start their new family and continue on with life. I'm not saying you are forgotten, far from it, I'm just pointing out that they start expanding their boundaries at about 2 years old and their world grows with each day. Not a lot of difference between 2 and 12, except for distance covered. My point is that there is sexual content and innuendo everywhere. Every billboard, advertisement, magazine, newspaper, TV show, and gee...many avatars. Hell, look at women's fashion....the young models just make you think of only one thing...VIOLATION!! Just wait until your kid watches TV as a young teen....or hangs out with her high school friends. I'll tell you, Britney Spears was truly a wonderful role model. You're gonna blow a gasket when she watches MTV Spring Break in 2020!! Fashion (even stripper fashion) and sex isn't nasty, vulgar, disgusting, or immoral. If you teach your children that it is, you will have some serious issues to deal with later down the road. So I guess what I'm saying here is...you are bringing her here and exposing her to the content you are concerned about.....blame yourself for what she sees. She doesn't only see the scantily clad boobs you are concerned about, she also sees your response to them and attaches an association to your action. She learns from you that her body is "bad" and that it is OK to yell at people that don't believe in the same thing as you do. Factor in some religion and you have a truly potent AFU cocktail. There is also a village idiot in Texas that today says he is going to veto legislation on Saturday that would have banned US intelligence agents from torturing human beings. So now the USA is officially a pro-torture country. What a fucking piece of shit for a human being that prick is. I want his family waterboarded. And it is boobs that offend you??? I'm not trying to speak down to or against anyone here...I'm just saying we all have our own Point Of View and we are each right unto ourselves....
  21. No way man...we have the hottest chicks!! Originally From Huntington Beach, Now in San Diego, because it's closer to Glamis!!
  22. Are you talking RZ350 or RZ500? The 350s were sold here in the 80s...the 500s never. You shouldn't have an issue with the 3fiddy.
  23. I have a 200w RS stator but don't think I have the optional regulator in my wiring. Also, I think my lights are wired directly through the handlebar switch. Should I run a relay circuit on the lights because of the Amperage draw? One for high...one for low? So 200W stators have 2 different "legs?" Are they equal output? Does a stocker only have 1? Is there a "right way" to wire in a 200W stator? My big lights are my "low" beam and the mr16s kick on when I hit the switch to "high"...where all 4 run. The mains dim down a bit when I'm running all four unless I'm in the upper midrange...ultra bright when I'm running only the two big PIAAs. Any help or opinions would be appreciated... I'm electrically challenged
  24. Hey, Welcome to the HQ...my favorite Banshee Site!! To answer your questions we would need to know your altitude and what type of riding you do. You can get a woods/trail port, dune port, or drag port done to your cylinders to put the powerband where you want it for your riding type....low, midrange, or top end power delivery. You have 2 greats parts to start out with...your FMF SSTs and your Noss head. Keep your exhaust...they work great for all around riding and respond well to a modified motor. They are very similar to T5s...and not worth trading out for unless you need a specialized exhaust, like CPIs or Shearers. I would prefer to have SSTs, but I have the standard Fatty's. Your Noss head allows you to replace the domes in it to alter your compression. Smaller domes give you higher compression. It is also a way to adjust for porting mods and altitude. Porting usually changes the port timing so you may have to adjust for that. Do you know what ports are? Do a search and understand the 2-stroke principal and it will be clearer.... See the chart below on domes: Approximate Cranking Compression These pressures are estimates based on fresh stock bore, piston, porting, and deck height. It is recommended to check your compression after installation. Sea Level 1000' 2000' 3000' 4000' 5000' 18cc 197....178...171...170....165...145 19cc 183....167...160...158....152...137 20cc 169....156...149...146....140...129 21cc 156....145...138...134....128...121 stock 130....125...118...112....106...100 I pulled this info from the Noss Website: http://www.nossmachine.com/banshee_heads.htm 1. Get your porting first, 2. get a set of domes to match your compression ratio, 3. jet your carbs to match the porting, 4. pick up a set of Boyesen Power Reeds, ($50.00 or spend $200 on VF3s. I run Boyesen's myself) 5. and run an aftermarket filter setup. Do all of these mods at the same time!! You will have to address your air box...keep it, mod it, ditch it, or replace it with an aftermarket one. Your riding type will determine which choice you decide. Next, get a timing plate and advance your timing +4 degrees. Finally, a set of carbs may be on your purchase list. If you are running a woods/trail port, you can run your stock carbs or maybe get a set of 30MMs. The larger you go, the more peak HP you gain but you start to lose low end throttle response. You may want to go larger than that, but at your higher elevation, I don't think you would benefit from it. The best carb is the SMALLEST you can run and have the least restriction to your motor. >>BALANCE Grasshopper<< I run 33PWKs, have a lot of mods on my motor, ride at sea level in the sand only and am happy I didn't go larger than that. Guys that drag run as large of a carb as they can...they go from idle to wide open only. Good for racing, not good for trail riding. Good Luck on your new quad!! I speak Black Rifle/Gun too!! AR, HK, AK, PSS, Super 90, Glock, SIG, Para-Ordinance....etc
