I'm planning on it!! I'll be there from Friday till Sunday. 7 weeks and counting... Anyone from San Diego planning on getting out over the weekend?? We should plan a meet up. Jay from SanD.
-
I'm pretty sure it should have a title attached to it. My 80's dirt bikes had titles...my neighbor's 1986 HonDuh 200SX quad (he purchased it new) has a title, so I'd think you should prolly have one too!! Here is a link for all the contact info you could want on this topic: http://www.dmv.ca.gov/contacts/contacts.htm Hope that helps...Jay from SanD.

I watched a kid in a Civic smoke a AMG Twin Turbo at the 1/8th mile races (RaceLegal) here at the stadium last year. I never get tired of looking at: http://www.riceboypage.com/ I have nothing on 4 wheels to brag about...but my SE-R puts 5.0s down regularly.... My 410lb ZX10r makes 165HP though!!

I'm a fan of JL Audio amps. Their 500 watt monoblock will easily power your subs. They have great 2 channel amps too. Do a feebay search. High current design kicks ass!! As for speakers...do you want to run speakers in the factory positions or are you gonna do a new install and cut in your own? http://www.crutchfield.com/ has a pretty good database of what fits where in the factory location. I like the Pioneer Supertuner CD players myself, but any name brand is gonna work well for you. Just use the proper size power/ground wire and you should be happy.

Do you still have your tank for sale?? -
I run 22" STU's on my 'shee and won't run any other sand front tire. I even have 22" fronts on my camp whore Blaster!! I think it makes it "float" better in the sand!! Jay From SanD.

End time: Sep-08-08 09:48:26 PDT. Brand New at $100 right now...no reserve. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Banshee-Rol...1QQcmdZViewItem These are the pegs I have and I can't say enough good things about them. Jay From SanD.

I picked up a Blaster as a camp quad (because it kinda looks like my Banshee) and the suspension is pretty harsh for sand use...the only place I take it to is Glamis. It uses up MAYBE an inch of travel and beats the hell out of you so I was thinking that if I added a 1 1/2" wheel spacer to each of the front wheels, it would increase leverage to the shocks and make them feel softer. I'm going to pick up a swingarm off (fe)eBay and add a 2" or 3" section to it to balance out the spring rate too. I was thinking that since it is only used in the sand...the extension from the centerline of the ball joints would be a minimal issue. What will it do to the steering? Or I could cut and weld a 2" or 3" spacer into a set of A arms. When they say arms are +2, is that per side or overall? A Banshee axle will widen the rear to match the front. Anyone have experience with this? WWYD? Thanks, Jay.

That is something I've always wondered about...you guys that rigid hanger mount your pipes. I occasionally look down at my motor at lower RPM (2500??) and see the motor rocking side to side maybe 3/8" at the cylinder...then it smooths out and stabilizes. That transition point has to play hell on a rigid mount and bracket!! I picked up the RIS mounts...hope they work for me!! they have an oval mounting machined to allow the pipe to move around, but the delrin sleeve is a tolerance fit to allow movement without twisting. I don't wanna head my crack pipe. ///\\\Crack my head pipe///\\\

Being that you posted your question in the sand forum....I'll go Banshee any day. MX would have a different result..... And for the record, since MotoGP has gone with 4-poke bikes, I haven't been to Laguna Seca!! I used to ride an RG500 (the Yamaha didn't compare to the Suz..sorry!!) as well as 2 RZ350's in the 90's. Went through 5 RD's an H2, H1 when I was a kid and have recently started searching for a clean Aprilla RS250 with plates. Not to mention all the dirt bikes...... Basically, I hate 4 strokes......I blame the EPA for the 4-Ps. I don't see why we can't have a modern high output Banshee from Yamaha when China and the rest of the 3rd world are such gross polluters. Like we make an impact....... Imagine a modern suspended and framed Banshee with 2 YZ250 PV cylinders on the motor.....my dream motor!! Guess my Red Bull hasn't worn off yet.

I didn't find his name under the "members list." As for the 3% add on....I don't think Paypal allows the seller to charge the buyer that fee.

I'm looking for a cheeeeeeaaaapp Banshee rear axle for my '03 Blaster. It's not that I'm all that tight, but I can get s couple of spacers pretty cheap....but hey, if you wanna get rid of that old axle sitting in your garage, this would be a good time to do it!! I'm looking for a set of front spacers as well. I'm in San Diego so local pick up is cool. Or you can figure shipping to 92117. Thanks, Jay.

Hey man, I don't know you but I read about the drama that happened to you as it was posted. I know that shit happens. It is friggin awesome that you took care of the people that were affected. Good on 'ya.

I want to replace my Pro Design head with either a Noss or Chariot Racing head so I'm gonna need some stock head studs. Anyone have an idea of what my perfect condition USED P-D head might be worth...both with and without domes please. I need some color..... , Jay in San Diego.

I'm looking for a new impeller...glad I found this!! Looks like the PD for me. The search pulled through for me again  Jay from SanD.

If it wasn't pumping for whatever reason, you wouldn't have heat transfer to the radiator or hoses. If you spark it and feel heat in the hose, you have a circulating system.

I use the Boyesen Power Reeds. They retail at $32.00 per and are a long lasting 2-stage fiberglass reed. Carbon reeds wear out a lot faster in a standard style reed cage. You can find them on eBay for $25.00 each. This guy ships worldwide and he sells them (2 sets) for $52.00 + shipping. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/YAMAHA-BANS...1QQcmdZViewItem I run this series of reeds in my Banshee, YZ, and Blaster and used them in my RM's, KX's, RD's and RZ(s) as well. You want item #645 if you decide to look for them locally. I've heard a lot of people say the V-Force 3's are the only way to go for the best performance, but I believe the gains to be minimal at best when compared to the post Boyesen upgrade.

Hey Josh, I've been hiding at Mission/Pacific Beach. http://www.sundiego.com/surf_cams_mission.php I'm the guy with the flip-flop tan. Where have you been? Here in San Diego, no one is riding right now. We don't ride in the summer!! The first big weekend at Glamis is Halloween....I'll prolly get out there before that though. I'm gonna mount up my CPI's in a couple of weeks. Do you think there will be a big jetting change for me? It's running a little fat right now with my Fattys. You gotta head out one year.....I've got room for you in the MoHo.. Jay From SanD.
