Anyone heading out to Glamis this weekend? Leaving late tonight and camping on Pad 3.
There's gonna be a Veterans Tribute Sat morning @ 11AM at the Flag pole.
Maybe see you there!! I plan on hitting up the Sunset Drags on Sat night too so.....
Give a shoutout if you wanna meetup and do a li'l duning!!
I'll probably never get the chance to go soooo....
how about someone shooting some video of just duning arournd?!?
I''d like to see what you encounter just bombing around - hills, bowls, jumps, trails, witch eyes, geckos, etc. Thanks!!
Thanks for the excellent Pictures!!
Are they as close to the filters as it looks?
I have to run Outerwears and I'm getting tired of buying replacements all the time because they're melted through.
Again -- appreciate the pics!
How do the PC's fit? I've been looking for a better exhaust for my duner setup and my FMF's don't have a lot of overrev, but they sure fit sweet.
I had some CPI's, but I got tired of their high maintenance = always having to fiddle with it fit.
Finally... a pipe comparison on the SAME engine!!
I find it interesting that the CPI's and T5's made lower torque than the FMF Fattys. I've been saying for years that Fatty's are great performing pipes for an overall build because until you're topped out in 6th gear, it isn't HP that gets you over the line -- it's acceleration from TORQUE that pushes you there!
The other thing I like is the power curve is at a lower RPM. Less wear and engine fatigue is exponential to RPM so I'd rather not have to scream at 10k to make powa. When you ride about 100 miles in the sand every day you're duning, wear is more of a concern than if you just zoom 300' 30 times a day (about 1-1/2 draggin' miles).... lol. This is when RPM is NOT your friend!!
I wonder how the results would be on a dune ported stock bore 4 mil.... I can see the lack of overrev graphed out - something I feel when I'm doing my 2% of drag racing I do at Glamis (I have Fatty's/they tuck in real nice and fit great!).
Nice build == thanks for sharing your info!
Who's up for hitting up the Halloween kickoff weekend at Glamis? Even though there will be plenty of dune roaches (SxS's) it'll still be a blast!
I don't have a group going so if you have something going on -- shoot me an invite.
Otherwise, we can meet up and go with the flow....
Gonna be a sweet riding season for sure!!
