It looks like detonation to me. I know what you said, but detonation usually ends up breaking rings and lands first. So how do you tell what happened first? Old gas in your tank could have easily caused this. Depending on your compression, it could take as little as 2 weeks for the fuel to be deteriorated enough for your application. Just sayin...not putting words in your mouth. Been there before.........

I'm looking for a built a-arm Banshee set up for the dunes. I have a budget but that's determined by what you have done and how nice it is. Quad must be in very, very good condition if not perfect. What do you have? I have a little time to find one. Are you selling or maybe thinking of starting a new project for next spring? Shoot me a pm and let's have a look. I don't want a drag specific shee, but one that I can go anywhere in the sand.

Hey guys, I'm new to the banshee world. yeah yeah I know, it the last year but I've always been riding motocross and own a 4x4 quad now. I'm going to be riding some dunes and I have always wanted a Shee, but never NEEDED one. I know how to ride one, just don't know what to look for when looking? Can you give me some insight? Maybe you have one for sale? Anyways, I want a clean, fast ride. How much do I want to spend? Dunno....guess that depends on what I find. Crash
